  1. That's sort of what the piece says. For example, most teams change everything when they change coordinators - scheme, language, etc. but the Patriots keep their play books the same and expect the coordinator to adjust to the system. Continuity.

  3. Not sure of the exact timing, but the Patriots might have been covering their bases in the event that Josh McDaniels took one of the head coaching jobs. He later announced he is staying in Foxborough.
  4. Whatever they're doing up there works.
  5. Good article on SI.com by former Patriots beat writer Greg Bedard. My favorite: it's about the right 53, not necessarily the best. http://www.si.com/nfl/2017/01/12/bill-belichick-philosophy-nfl-coaches-blanket-coverage?
  6. I'm not so sure about that. The Jets gig went horribly wrong, and now Buffalo.
  7. One more bad showing and the fans will riot in the streets, chanting Romo's name.
  8. And among those teammates he's carrying around are the most electrifying running back we've seen in years, a dominating stud #1 WR and the best OL in football. That matters.
  9. Going to be in Coronado soon -any recommendations on a spot to watch a 10am kickoff?
  10. This was one of the strangest chapters in the Chip Kelly book. He had the best lateral slash-and-cut runner in the league in Shady and dumped him for a box of nothing. He then signs Murray, who is a hit-the-hole guy, and makes him run side to side. Hard to fathom.
  11. Local but first full NFL season in Manhattan. Been to Turtle Bay which is Eagles crazy. Very young - college age - crowd pounding beers and wings. Lots of fun but I'm a little out of the demographic.
  12. Yours truly. Not sure which one though. Considering Turtle Bay Tavern, Shorty's and Wogie's (Village).
  13. No argument from me. It's always something, amiright? P.S. - you left out Josh Norman busting on Bradford and the overall weirdness of our QB position.
  14. Romo back injury. Zeke on TMZ at a weed shop in Washington. Yes, they are in midseason form.
  15. As a part time midtown east resident, I can confirm that Turtle Bay is indeed an Eagles base in the heart of NYC. Also Blondie's on the Upper West Side is Philly-friendly, although I've only gone there to watch the Flyers. But Manhattan is different than anywhere else. Yeah, it's Giants/Jets territory, but there are so many people there from so many diverse places you can almost always find a decent Eagles crowd. Lots of your kind of "football" as well - the Euro Cup finals last Sunday were on every screen in town.
