Skyler is really raw on film and I've seen some Florida fans taking shots at that commitment, but he has the best intangibles in terms of leadership I've ever met in a prep QB in six years. Very good mobility (could be an FBS safety) and just needs coached by someone other than Dad. His HS head coach wasn't very good.
Collie is a beast. Wood just never ran the ball.
Poole is my No. 1 corner in the nation. He's absolutely nasty. The kid looks like a sophomore in college already.
Great class for them. Got high character kids and talent.

When I went on one of the Gators radio stations for an interview we talked about it back when Colin committed.
He was chubby last year, but got really fit this year.
I was with him, P.J. Gallo (Maryland TE) and Noah Spence (Ohio State OLB) at the Maxwell Awards Dinner and PJ and Colin grabbed me for a picture. Colin has me by a good two inches now. He didn't last year.
He's a legit 6-foot-5 (I'm talking NFL measurement) and probably weighs 255 right now. Looks great. I've thrown the ball with him plenty. Nice hands.
He knocks the crap out of people.
I hope Kent's back holds up down there. There were rumors he couldn't play, but they got squashed. He just had to take it easy.
Gators got the best TE class in the nation easily.

Do you think they'll use them like the Patriots use their two TE's?

You went to Wood? Cracks me up. We're from the same area originally.
I was up there constantly with Colin, Des, Brandon, Brandon, Nate and Frank. Good friends with Steve Devlin.
Well, we'll see as Charlie had a plan for him.
It's funny, when Colin started in recruiting all he wanted was a Notre Dame offer. My exact quote to him was, "Charlie Weis will see you and Florida will be all over you, but I'll try with Notre Dame."
I talked to Notre Dame for him, got him on his visit and the day he came home from South Bend; Florida offered.
My immediate advice was to go to Florida. I had serious issues with Urban Meyer for very legitimate issues, but Florida is a fine school and Muschamp is a good coach, so the second Urban left my issues with Florida were gone.
He visited and loved it there. Still had ND in his mind and I told him to just forget about it. He did. Done. Committed. No reason to think about a "childhood favorite" when you love a visit and how the school wants to use you, which he did with Charlie.
Which leads me to answering you...
I don't know how they're going to use them now. I know Kent is going to get split action and Colin won't. It's not his skill set.
It sounds like they're going to work both of them as they offer different things on the field. We need to see what Colin is really like as a receiver. He'll need to learn to run routes as he hasn't had to in high school. Kent is going to need to learn to block somebody.
They can get them both in the mix. I know that Will and Charlie both had the same plan for the kids, so I'm sure nothing has changed.

Football players getting arrested is bad. First, they're scholarship athletes, and should respect that agreement. Secondly, it reflects poorly on both the school and the Head Coach. The Head Coach should care, as it's his program and his name that looks bad.
