Again say what you want to me, but its true we will enter the season with no Wr's and another season where Westbrook kills his self for nothing. You have to admit the WR postion for the eagles the FO never wants to address.

Well, this time we actually are entering the season with no wrs.  Before they went in with controversial and overrated ones.

You are basically not even giving Jackson a chance even though he has shown just about everything you can possibly expect from a rook who has played two preseason games.    The injuries to Curtis and Brown are not serious.   And in all honesty the players behind them are not much of a dropoff.

If we don't get Donovan some help before Sept. 7 things are going to get ugly.

The sad thing is that they used to employ the same philosophy with the LBs.  But in recent years, it seems like they've done a complete 180 and addressed the LB position. I wish they'd do the same with the WR position.   Too bad for McNabb it will be long after he is gone.

I'm normally over optimistic about this team, but I think you're suffering from denial.

Maybe, but he produced last year like no other reciever could since TO. And before TO not too many Philly recievers did what Curtis did last year.

They didn't really address it, as in make it a priority and go out and sign a top tier free agent or spend a 1st round pick on the position.  they just drafted well at the position the last couple of years, and picked up Takeo Spikes at a bargain bin price.

If Boldin was in that bin you can bet your a** the Eagles would pick him up. But Boldin's price is too high for the Eagles.

Curtis has more yardage last year then Avant and Baskett have in their careers combined.  But yeah, your right.  We aren't much worse off.

Look, if the Eagles were interested in getting another receiver, they wouldn't come right out and say it because they want to have the leverage to negotiate.

That being said, I had no problem with our receivers until today. If they were healthy I'd feel fine starting the receivers we have. Now that they're both hurting, I hope the Eagles are taking new acquisitions a little more seriously than theyre letting on.

yeah we are...  They were the best to WR's on this team and they both have lingering injuries.  So if Curtis isn't that good and neither was Brown what is Basket, Avant and GLew?????

Are they even as good as Thrash & Pinkston....  Well actually I believe they are but still.

McNabb's legacy may go down as the best QB to ever play without any help at WR.

Oh noooooooo......  I've entered TATErzone........I'm PANICINGZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!

Sal Pal was just on ESPN and said KC will have surgery tomorow and if it looks bad then the Eagles will "no doubt" go after another WR. Lots of talk about Boldin but the Eagles have a real problem with Rosenhaus...

That's not true at all. It is a common tactic to deny interest in a player so as not to drive up the price by others inquiring. Not that it works, but that is the thought process.

Something needs to be done, Spads says that he will be back, but LJ came back last year after hernia surgery and he sucked.....he's a TE not our best wideout/deep threat

To not bring in someone is retarded, Greg Lewis started for us before and didnt show much, its unfair to lean on Djax like that.

I don't wanna hear that have faith in our depth crap from Spads, if we go into the Rams game throwing the ball all over the feild I'm gonna go through the roof  (I'm sure most of you will do the same).  If nobody is brought in with a proven track record (yeah I have no idea who, but someones gotta be available) then we need to start running the **** out the ball ala jacksonville style, otherwise we might have a shot at crabtree in the draft next year since we'll be picking top 5

We have seen what sports hernias do to players. Lets not kid ourselves into thinking that Curtis will be productive this year. LJ himself said that it took him into December before he felt good. 5 tried to play with one and got worse each week, then missed the last 8 wks..Curtis is done for the year for all intents and purposes.

Tough break for KC, hopefully he will make a speed recovery.
We have to go after Boldin strong now, we are so screwed if we go into the season w/ Brown, Jackson, Avant, Baskett & Lewis.

"The injuries to Curtis and Brown are not serious."

I don't love Curtis, but he is the only WR coming back who has ever caught 70+ passes, so while defenses may not gameplan to stop him, he was the only productive receiver they have.  How don't you view his injury as serious?
