let's be honest, with curtis and brown out, what's the point of even keeping mcnabb.  honestly we're looking at 6 out of 10 with this roster now.  How we did not get a WR in FA is beyond me.  Yes, we tried... but people say that like it's a good thing... it's like, "oh we tried to get a WR!"  but ummm... that means we failed right?

We really need to start looking at personel managers jobs at this point.  WR's can step up yes, but they dont change their game in one off-season, so we still have the same problem as last year, and that is that we have no WR on this roster (even with Curtis) that can beat man to man coverage on a regular basis.  And without that, this team becomes two dimensional.  defenses will guard westbrook first, and LJ smith second, and be able to leave man coverage on our mediocre Wide outs and we will get beat.  so go ahead and keep baskett and avant and g-lew and desean "i'm to short to ever be for real" jackson and we'll see just how great this team is.  Superbowl?  we arent going anywhere near the playoffs at this point.  yeah i said it.  and it's  a shame because mcnabb deserves better than this.

Go get boldin.  No, not because he's a name, not because he might be available according to the press, but because this is a WR who CAN beat man to man coverage, who CAN get open if plays break down, and WILL stretch fields.  He CAN add a dimension to this offense that we are currently missing.  What that means JOE BANNER, is that there is a player currently available who CAN HELP THIS TEAM RIGHT NOW and we have 2 number one picks next year, not to mention an extra corner who wants out (lito) and could very well become a locker room cancer and we all know it.

make something happen or we lose sir.  good day.

Who, other than Moss, was available? (If you really considered him being available).  I love these, "how come we didn't get a #1 receiver?" rants

What team in the NFL signed a "1" receiver this offseason? answer- NONE
what team in the NFL traded for a "1" receiver in the offeasons answer- NONE

Believe it or not, teams generally don't let franchise WR's go.  Theres a limited amount in the NFL.  This horse has been dead for so long there is nothing left to beat but the skeleton of its remains.  Enough

Apparently you didn't know there is a tree somewhere in the United States that you can go pick stud wide receivers off of.

These pre-season panics and prognostications before a single snap has been taken in regulation time are really irritating.

Not to mention worthless.

I think back to last summer, when there was a team whose stud running back just retired, whose QB was wildly inconsistent, whose coach's job was on the ropes and who were widely predicted to be going nowhere last year, and whaddya know......they end up winning the Super Bowl.

When you get lemons, you make lemonade. We have Westy, Bucky, Booker, Hunt and an experienced, heavy OL. If we can't see the advantage of going run-heavy, we don't deserve to make the playoffs.

Truthfully,  This is one of the things that makes being an Eagles fan so exciting.

Backs on the wall.  Written off for dead before game 1.  And in Decemeber all of us in here will be balls to the wall screaming at the television or in the staduim hoping for that playoff birth.  Against all odds.

I ain't giving up hope and I don't think this team has that personality either whether we get Boldin or not.

This is only going to amplify my  censored.gif  talking.

How big do you need to be to a legit #1.  Desean Jackson could be the one we've been waiting for.

we traded for stallworth two years ago around the 3rd game of the PS.

It could happen.
