Remember when Eagles fans here tried to tell the Redskins fans that Haynesworth was in it SOLELY for the money and his signing was a colossal blunder on the Redskins' part?

Good times.

this puts a hole in the Dline that is tooo late the replace.

damm it!

I guess I understand Hayensworth not wanting to play NT.

Particularly in practice with a coach that was world famous for teaching his lineman cheapshot dives at the back of your knees.

That and your demigod Gibbs. He and Shanny just loved the cheapshots and cowardly moves.

You are all meant for one another.

His former DC is the HC there.

Not sure he'd want him but I assume that's the logic.

Ahhhh ok.

I'd offer a 5th for him...

Chris Johnson is going to demand a mega-contract himself.

Couldn't happen to a "nicer" owner and a "nicer" fanbase.

Good old danny boy must be pissed.

What's odd is, in passing situations, many of the 3/4 teams blitz, then it's basically a 4/3 again, or one of the OLB's gets down in a 3 point stance, 4/3 again (See NE, SF, Balt, Jets & Ravens for evidence). Why would it be a problem to play on the nose in running situations?, or DE in the same? .

I hope Albert is reading this.....

PS- One thing I read about the 3/4 and DL is, "They have to be unselfish"

PS 2- If it is'nt broken, then why "Fix it", the Skins D was good last year

many teams are making the switch. its the way of the future in football.

to tell the truth about it, i don't think it has anything to do with the 3-4 4-3.

i believe its more to do with the new front office and coaches. Shanny & Allen

are old school hard a**es who will lay down the law. thats not what big AL

signed in for last year.

There is no such thing as a way of the future. No matter what you run the better team will just about always win. It's like the people who say this is a passing league yet three of the past five SB winners have been running teams.

A lot of teams are switching to the 3-4. The packers and broncos last year, the bills and redskins this year. It seems to be the "cool" thing right now. Shanahan studied a lot of different offenses and defenses last year while he was out of the league and said he fell in love with the 3-4. So the skins are adopting the Steelers version of the 3-4 which is an aggressive blitz-heavy scheme.

I prefer to dream about things like Jessica Alba's pink snapper personally.

Washington is trying to finalize a trade for Saints OT Jammal Brown. The trade is not believed to involve disgruntled DT Albert Haynesworth.

Please God make it so..

What could they be trading then? Another high draft pick? Please, be my guest, Washington.

Please let it be Haynesworth for Brown straight up. Either way, if Brown passes a physical and can stay healthy we have vastly improved our tackle situation.

Williams and Brown will make a hell of a combo.

It'll be like Chris Samuels and Jon Jansen back in the day.

Depends on the conditions until i say i will like it. We know it cant involve the 2011 3rd or 4th because that is tied up with the Eagles so my guess is that its a 2011 1st/2nd conditional pick. 1st round pick if he makes the pro bowl and a 2nd round pick otherwise. Thats what i think it will be.
