They started 7-2 and whooped up on San Fran 40-8 during that time. They then finish 0-7.
Just to add how bad they finished - the awful Bengals beat them in the last game in the waning moments when Doug Pelfrey drilled a 54 yard FG.
Worst. Season. Ever.

Yeah that season was terrible. I was a kid, so I think I cried after the last four or five of those loses. Its easier to take a disaster season as an adult.

1994 was bad but I wasn't expecting anything. Though I totally bought into the 7-2 hype.

The couple of years following the Vermeil Super Bowl run were dissapointing as well.......... but I don't remember ever being disgusted with a team like I am this year's. I don't remember an Eagles team with this much talent that flopped this bad. Its inexplicable and inexcusable.
Andy Reid has to go. You could overlook the playoff failures when he kept winning, because it was a lot easier to buy the scenario the best way to win a super Bowl was to consistently make the postseason.
But when he stops making it, that goes out the window. I could have overlooked it with a young team, but this group has to much talent to overlook a flop like this and not hold the head coach accountable. You can blame Juan all you want but Andy is the dolt who hired him.
Andy has had a great run here, but its time to go in another direction.
There are no words to express how dissapointed I am.

Oh we've had some sorry teams, but like I said I don't remember a season with a higher expectations where we flopped worse.

Iron is pretty knowledgeable... he's a homer for McNabb and he was wrong about Tony Gonzalez but he's cool.

It's OBVIOUS that our slide can be attributed to the loss of those coaches, none more devastating
(as it is now apparent) than Jim Johnson. Just rewatched highlights of the 2008 vs Giants playoff game.
Our defense was just phenomenal in that game against the defending SB champ.
SOMEONE needs to find some quality coordinators for Reid, and don't count on Reid to find those guys.
Castillo is the first priority FIRING this offseason for sure. We should start contacting his replacement IMMEDIATELY.

Plus the Castillo hire always weighed on my mind as someone that would probably screw up the season
