Per his Twitterpage, Pete Prisco of CBS Sports said "Keep hearing Dan Connor to Eagles will be done." No one else has said anything, and there's no timeline.

Thoughts?

Pre FA, yeah won't happen.

However, I'd welcome the addition. He's much better than what we have on the roster. Would love Connor if we can get Hawthorne.

Loved him at PSU in a non Sandusky way, he's been injured but Penn State linebackers have a very good success rate, especially the last few.  Bowman, Posluszny, Lee

If he stays healthy, he's a damn solid pickup.

I don't know how I'd feel about it. He's certainly better than what the Eagles call linebackers.

Cool with this strictly because it keeps the door open for a high pick. If Eagles signed Lofton or Tulloch, that would be it for LBs.

I'd still go after Hawthorne. He's played mostly all last season.

before bradley's injury he was awesome. if connor plays like that im happy. that said i think connor is a better SAM than inside linebacker. that said prisco said we had no shot at Nnamdi last year... guess what he was wrong

Not a fan at all, but Prisco is well connected with the Eagles and they have no idea how to evaluate LB so this doesn't surprise me.

To be honest, none of the linebackers out there are "elite".
Very few are even probowl-caliber.

But we're not looking for a Patrick Willis or a James Harrison.
We're searching for guys who can play solid as linebacker.
Be a consistent tackling machine and a dominant run-stuffer.

There are many "good" players out there and would be an immediate upgrade over
the likes of Casey 'Ducks' Matthews, Jamar '7th-rounder' Chaney, and Brian 'Machine Gun' Rolle.

Our strength and core of the defense is in the line. The same goes for the Giants.
What the Giants had was solid tacklers against the run, and just good enough against the pass.
That's exactly what we need here.

This is a move I'd love. Maybe he'd throw a ball at VY on his way out.

Dan Connor isn't really better than what we have. Marginally better at best. He's not a good player, so I wouldn't be surprised if the Eagles sign him. They have proven they have no clue how to evaluate defensive talent.

Good, now let's hope that we don't bring in just one LB. Connor can help, but he isn't enough on his own.

He's a perfectly good LB.

Of course, Kirkland, Nate Wayne, Spikes, Witherspoon, and Ernie Sims were all perfectly good LBs once too...many of whom were welcomed additions at one point.

I'd welcome the signing, but I'm still skeptical that he can break painful line of succession here.

Hey its an upgrade over what we have. Connor is a good player but he needs to stay healthy, And will he be a "Mike" or a "Sam"?? hmmm....

Oh yes, those solid run-stuffers are the likes of Stephen Tulloch, Curtis Lofton, and David Hawthorne.
Connor is good too, but those guys are slightly better than him and we need one of those three here.

As far as Fletcher goes, it's hard to envision the Eagles signing him. I KNOW he's consistent and a leader.
But, we usually just don't have any appetite for guys over 32. Fletcher, I would estimate, and I'm not good in math, 5 years over that age 'limit'.

The fact that he plays two positions would give them some nice draft flexibility....they would not HAVE to draft Keuchly...can still go for BPA, but can still go with Keuchly if it happens to be him.

Connor isn't even close to the best option out there.  Get ready for the Spadaro spin of we just signed a D Butkus type of LB in his prime.

Keep in mind that nothing have been confirmed yet. So no need to blow your fuse off.
The difference between Connor and the best option out there is not like the
difference between Casey Matthews and Clay Matthews. Just a thought.

Is he that good? I know nothing about him, tried to look up some highlights on YouTube but found nothing. Also would he play SLB?
