I would still go Rodgers #1, then maybe Brees, but if you bring in the SB arguement then yes, you could probably put Eli #2 after Rodgers. Then Brees, Brady, and Gabbert..

In terms of pure QB talent, Eli falls to 5.

He's not in my top 3, but depending on your own opinion, he's defintely top 5-7 right now...I'd still take Rodgers and Brees over him no doubt

Eli is not a better QB than Rodgers, Brees, and Brady going into this upcoming season. That guy should probably put the pipe down.

I think Eli is a great QB and everything, but I was walking around a flea market yesterday and I saw Giants hoodies with "Eli is Elite" written on them and it kind of hit me that I don't remember the last time the media or fans ever had to go to such lengths to try to convince people that a QB is at a certain level of talent.

I remember hearing a lot the past few years "Is Eli elite?" or "Eli is officially Elite!" (after the Pats game a few months back).

I mean, dude just won his 2nd SB. Do people still need convincing?

That would make sense if there wasn't 10 other starters on offense and 11 otehr starters on defense. This isn't tennis, its not Eli vs Brady its the Giants vs the Patriots.

I think Cam is a tad high, Stafford a tad low, I'm fine with where Matt Ryan is. My biggest WTF with this list is that he uses Flynn's lack of NFL starts (2) to place him low yet puts 2 QB's that haven't even been drafted yet in the teens. I think that is just hilariously stupid.

The guy has a man crush on Eli, do you mind bro?! We only can talk about Eli. Even if people say he's top 5, the dude won't be happy. He just wants an arguement for the sake of an arguement or he wants to see people label Eli #1.

Eli is top 5, who the F cares where? Don't understand why people need to go on and on! You just won your 2nd SB with him, you'd think they'd chill out for a few months until after the draft!

Eli becomes officially elite if he can have a consecutive strong season and not follow it up with a dud like a few years ago.

It's the same story every year, the Super Bowl Champion for the season that just ended is the best and will win it agian the following year and has the best coach, qb and everything else.

Pay no attention to that kind of garbage. You can't take anything away from a team that won the Super Bowl (without cheating), but there are better QB's in the NFL right now than Manning. When healthy, there's a better QB in his own family.

He's beaten Brady three times in a row (counting the monster win @ NE in the regular season which ended a number of their home winning streaks).  All three the same way, with last minute game winners.  Name somebody else who can say they've beaten Tom Brady 3 times in a row, twice in a Super Bowl.

That's cute. Let's ignore the horrible defenses of the Patriots and Packers because you know, football isn't a team sport or anything. You're a damn liar if you're told you can have any QB of your choice to build a team around and you pick Manning over any three of those guys (or a Giants fan).

HE didn't beat Brady. The Giants beat the Patriots. Since when does the offense line up against the opposing teams offense?

To be honest, when you put it that way, it just seems to me like the team who had the ball with enough time to drive and score the winning points was the one to win the game. Brady was just unfortunate that his defense failed him all 3 times, and in the end he got the ball back with seconds to go where there's nothing he could have done.

I always give credit to Eli where it's due, but he's been fortunate in those games against Brady with the way those 4th quarters have gone against him, the way the clock keeps favoring him and all...

Quite the resume Eli has, indeed. But you have to take the good with the bad. Manning doesn't win superbowls by himself-- that's obvious.

Eli is a very clutch QB who has a pretty good skill set. The man has 60 Touchdowns over the last 2 years... but then again he also has committed 50 turnovers.

I'd say he's the 5th or 6th best in the league, but I could see him being caught by a few of the younger guys.

As far as the regular season went last year, Eli was arguably out of the top 5 in impressiveness in the NFC alone. But his playoff performances boost him quite a bit.

I don't agree with that argument, it's not like Brady didn't have the ball at all in the 4th quarter with a chance to build a bigger lead and make life harder for Eli...if that throw to Welker had been more accurate then the Pats would have effectively won that game.
