Do you agree with Matt that a Lewis trade is likely?

Dion Lewis is a perfect fit at the backup RB for what Andy Reid likes to use. He's elusive in space, he's dynamic and we can use him in a multitude of different ways. And he can be productive with limited carries.
Why would we trade a guy like that?
ghor, let me answer your question with a question. On Sunday if all four RBs are on the squad, which three of the four do you activate?

I disagree, with Polk among the actives you have a pounder RB available for pounding situations. Lewis would only be active as injury insurance for a Shady injury. Brown will get touches before Lewis will if ther is no Shady injury.

Cool. We've finally got a backup running back who can do what Andy Reid wants his backup to do.
I find the possibility of a trade very unlikely, IMO.
And his name is Brown.

I wouldn't activate Lewis because he is exactly like McCoy...While Brown and Polk can bring different things to the table...
But if McCoy were to get hurt, Lewis would be the starter.

I'd be very happy with a McCoy, Lewis, Brown backfield on game day.
I'm not sure how many touches anyone outside of McCoy/Lewis would get because of the huge gap in pass protection experience in this offense regardless.

McCoy, Lewis and Brown. Should something happen to Shady, at least Lewis has touched the ball when it counts.

We should get together some time. I've never bet in real life, but cowboys-forum.com has a vBookie application on their website and I've parlayed an $80,000 virtual money initial stake into $2.5 million over the past 12 months using a moneyline system of bets.

Lewis might be traded next year if Brown develops, but more likely they'll keep all three and let Polk move on.
Lewis and Brown have complementary skill sets.

I have no idea where you get this impression. Brown was one of the best ST performers in the pre-season. Polk was nearly invisible on ST.

The other thing is that Chris Polk is the type of RB (along with many other pounder type of RBs) who need carries to get into the flow of a game. You can't just put them in cold on 3rd and short and expect for them to pick up the yardage. Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way.
I really believe that Andy Reid will get Lewis on the field this year. Some may disagree with me, but I think that this is the year we finally use our backup RB.
My beliefs are that if we don't use our backup RB now, then we'll never do it.
So I guess this is a defining year for the backup RB position.

Polk can be used as an "up-man" in KR and is a blocker on PR. It's not return ability.

Its a story on the main page, but when you click it theres no mention of anyone since the Menkin signing.
Oh nevermind. Thats where Cunningham is from.
So we still have 1 open spot. I thought the story was new this morning.

2 years ago, he seemed to be Vick's go to guy. Especially in the red zone.
Last year Vick regressed, and Maclin was coming back from mystery illness. I think this year could be big.

The last pounder back we had was named Staley. Was he used?
