My earliest memory is of OJ Simpson breaking the 2,000 yard mark in 1973. The earliest Super Bowl I can recall is Super Bowl XII, in 1978 (1977 season).

First SB - the first one Jets/Colts. I watched the two previous games on TV but they weren't called SBs at the time.

Eagles memory was stopping Emmitt 4th and 1 twice or little ole Mark Mcmillian and how he played for how small he was. I should have memories from when I was younger (born in 1980) but for some reason that's as far back as my brain lets me.

I was like 10 years old at the time, and remembered betting my brother $100 that the Giants would win. He still to this day hasn't paid up haha. Still to this day I hound him to pay up (joking of coarse... his a** won't pay up lol)

First SB memory was Dallas/Pittsburgh, SB13. I remember my Mom letting me stay up and watch it, as my Dad was at work. LOL that alot of my early football memories are just like that, with my Mom sitting there watching games with me because my Dad was always at work.

What about the time I prematurely busted a nut in your face while we were watching the Icky Shuffle back in 88 and I called what I did to you the "Sticky truffle"?? That was pretty memorable, no?

How about that for growing up among the "enemy"? My brothers and father were Redskins fans, my best friend was a Cowboys fan and I was an Eagles fan.
I've actually been to more Redskins and Cowboys games than I have Eagles games. 2 Redskins games and 2 Cowboys games (one of the Cowboys games was a Redskins game too, so it's only 3 total games). But that's only because I lived 15 or so minutes away from RFK Stadium growing up and then was stationed at Fort Hood in the Army, which was only about an hour or so away from Dallas.

The first Super Bowl I can recall, very fleetingly, is Super Bowl II. I was out doing something that day and when I came home it was on, and by then the Packers had their big lead.
Super Bowl III was the first one I watched straight through. I was pulling for the Colts - I was an NFL guy and while I watched some AFL, it was NFL teams that captured my imagination. Even as a kid, running the ball and playing tough defense appealed to me far more than high-flying offense. It was the Fearsome Foursome and the Vikings' Purple People Eaters that captured my imagination.

I remember the preceeding game between the Pack and Pokes (the "Ice Bowl") a lot more than their NFL/AFL Championship game against the Raiders. I know my dad had it on the tube but it was pretty much a foregone conclusion that the Pack would roll them.
