Hey..cool memories bro..
Call me crazy, but I like memories that result in parades...

Most kids love parades, I'm sure you're a big fan of the zoo too.

Gah! Wish I checked this thread more frequently. Would have loved to see that game as an adult.
You can probably get it from someplace like TYT.

awww...like I care about some old NFL footage in black in white..hey, what new and exciting commercials were on TV back when the E's last won their championship? What cool movie trailers? Casa Blanca? Gone with the Wind? Was James Bond even in movies then????

The Big Bang Theory was pretty big back then.

Not the TV show, the actual event.

The Eagles vs Cowboys Monday Night Football 1992. Both teams came in 3-0. Eagles won 31-7.
You writing this made me remember back to right before the game; I took a hammer to my Troy Aikman starting lineup!

Thinking back, what is the earliest memory you have of the NFL, and as a secondary question, what is the first Super Bowl you can recall seeing?

My earliest memory is of OJ Simpson breaking the 2,000 yard mark in 1973. The earliest Super Bowl I can recall is Super Bowl XII, in 1978 (1977 season).

The memories are one in the same for me. I remember watching the first Bills/Cowboys Super Bowl. I remember I had on a pair of jeans & a blue & white shirt, then looked at the TV and said "oh no, I must've somehow made the Cowboys win". I was about to turn 7 years old at the time so gotta give me that one. I remember watching football before then but that's the earliest thing I can truly remember.

Now that I really think about it, I have a picture of when I was younger with Reggie White & Keith Byars from 91 or 92.

I can guarantee you that the original "full broadcast" of Super Bowl III is missing the Colts scoring drive in the fourth quarter. No complete copy of the game exists. (SBIV exists in B&W, btw.)
I was thinking about past Super Bowls the other day and realized that Super Bowl III is the only Super Bowl that can never be avenged in a rematch by the losing team in a future Super Bowl... unless there's some change in the NFL in the future, of course.

All other Super Bowl teams can meet again in the future in the Super Bowl but the Colts and Jets can't... just a random thought... lol

The Superbowls in the 70's were so much funner as they were played in the early afternoon. First one I can remember was Dallas beating up on Miami. One memorable superbowl was the Vikes vs the Steelers where Mary Tyler Moore went out on a limb and took Fran and the Vikes to win the night before on her show. Those were the days!

Makes sense that "Mary Richards" of Minneapolis would pick the Vikings lol. I always liked that show, to this day whenever I hear the theme song it strongly reminds me of the early 70's when I was in Kindergarten or even earlier.

I wish they'd go back to introducing the players like they used to, as opposed to just the teams. I blame the Patriots for that.

That was an incredible night for TV, Archie Bunker to start it off, then Mary Tyler Moore, then Bob Newhart....Remember when Lu got his own show as a newspaper man and Tony Soprano's mom was his editor in chief!

I noticed the youtube video of the willis interception of Dallas, that was fantastic! But, my one memory of the Rhodes era was when Ty Detmer, playing on Monday night, brought the Eagles down the field in the last few minutes of the game vs Dallas, he was a master, like Joe Montana that game, and they went for the field goal to win the game, what whadda you know? Kicking from the 2 yard line for the win, the Eagles fumbled the snap and lost the game. I kicked myself for staying up late on a work night to watch the eagles lose on the last play. LOL

My first NFL memory and SB memory are connected......1972 I saw a guy named Paul Warfield (#42) make catching the ball over his shoulder look easy...I was hooked. Watched him on tv every chance I got....watched him and his team throughout that year all the way to winning the Super Bowl....at the time I didn't realize it, but I had just watched the perfect season.....Thank You Mr. Warfield!!!

That would be Eagles vs Giants game in 65 or 66, kinda fuzzey about the year. I was with my Dad and brother, my brother said I was pointing at the Eagles and putting my finger in the air, like #1. I was three years old at the time. First SB I remember was Jets/Colts, I remember Nameth garunteed a win then delivered.

Steelers owning the LA Rams in the SB. I was young and Hurty Butt so I became an Eagles fan and watched them lose the SB the very next year. Still here almost 30 yrs later and still no SB.

Don't remind me.

Rams were getting 11 in that game and I had bet them pretty heavily.  They were up 19 - 17 at the end of the 3rd and basically everybody & their mother had bet Pitt and were crying in their beers and I was just kicking back and already counting my dough and then the :censored:  Steelers scored 14 unanswered in the 4th to win by 12.

I remember that Sunday, that weekend actually. I was in the Boy Scouts and was on a camping trip that weekend. The assistant Troop Leader wanted to leave the camp site early due to a "family issue", so he took a few of us with him.

On the ride home he told us that he just wanted to make sure he was home in time for the Super Bowl because he was a Steelers fan.

I was about 6 years old and was running thru the living room and accidentally tripped and unplugged the TV when my dad was watching a Cowboys game. He was drunk and beat me with a candle holder and it give me a concussion and 10 stitches.
