You know if Delhomme was black this comparison would have been made years ago

HATER!!!!

I think the comparison is apt.  Somewhat above average but by no means elite.

He's fumbled the ball 85 times, which ranks him 24th all time. Of the top-25 fumblers (all quarterbacks except Tony Dorsett and Franco Harris), he's the only one who didn't start at least 100 games.

"Both Griffin and Vick made you feel like you were watching a video game, and really, that's a bigger part of Vick's legacy than anything."

Lol, I don't even know what to say to this. Vick hasn't been fun to watch since the first few games of 2010. Putting him in the same sentence as a Rookie who's already destroying him in every way seems even more hilarious.

All you need to know about Vick is he's a medciore QB with 2 career playoff wins who should be a backup QB right now.

You left out the thousands of rushing yards...  Vick's running opens up the field for other players including the rbs...  The defense has to account for it.  Horrible comparison.

You do realize it is 2012, right? I have no clue why people think Vick is still this nightmare for defenses to gameplan against. The guy is often being chased down from behind by linebackers, and sometimes even DEs. Quit living in the past, Vick is nowhere near a dangerous runner at this point in his career.

this. ironically his best eagles moment occured on monday night football against the skins and his worste eagle moment (being benched at halftime) will likely go down on monday night football as well.

Just sayin - they left out a pretty critical part of Vick's game... comparing his play to Delhomme is silly.  They are different types of players.  Why not compare him to Mark Brunell or Tim Tebow?  Steve Young?  All lefties with mobility (obviulsy different skill levels and body types)...

I just don't see how anyone who watched them play would compare Vick's game to Jake Delhomme.  If you pick and choose certain stats, you can always make comparisons, but it doesn't really have any meaning.

Delhomme's career is over.  Vick still has some years left, so his story isn't totally written yet.  I hope he wins a lot more starting Monday night - Go Eagles!

Its actually a great comparison from a passing standpoint. For you to call it stupid just shows how blind you really are. The numbers are identical....

Everybody seems to think that Vick has lost this HUGE "step". Just because he is 32 years old, doesn't mean he is "slow". The guy can still run like a cheetah when he wants to. Problem is when you run that fast and can't slide it's 2X the impact and 2X the injury risk.

Vick can't afford to get injured for his sake or the Eagles sake.

Back in Atlanta, he'd look at his first option...Crumpler or Dunn and if it wasn't there - he'd be taking off. If you looks at his progression as a pocket QB here he isn't doing that.

He's doing what a quarterback should do and that's going through all options.

Let's be real here though, our OL is absolutely terrible. So Vick is indeed getting murdered trying to "hang in there".

When Vick talked about being more aggressive in one of his interviews, I think that's what we are going to see this week. If Vick can make teams respect his scrambling again that really opens up a world of new things for our offense. If teams start putting safeties closer to the LOS then we might be able to see how explosive our offense can be.

Granted there is a greater chance of injury. But at this point it's win or go home. If he comes out there and doesn't step it up again, I'm pretty sure we're gonna see Foles sooner than later.

Because the point is that now that Vick CAN'T run the way he used to, he's essentially reduced to relying on his passing... which is pretty much on the level of a guy like Delhomme.

Nobody is saying he's lost a step because he's 32, we say he's lost a step because he's consistently being caught from behind by linebackers/lineman that would have never gotten a finger on him when he was in Atlanta.

Except for the part where they're identical passing numbers. Vick isn't scaring anyone with his legs anymore anyway. The giants said it best, the gameplan used to be contain him, now its go after him

The article was a good summary of Vick's career.  No matter what you want to say about him, he's one of the ten most electrifying NFL players ever in my estimation.  I've enjoyed watching him for the most part, and he's given some great moments.  With that said, it's time to move on if Vick can't put up some points Monday Night.
