For many years of success including the Super Bowl, Peyton Manning's offensive line was:
Tarik Glenn (6'5 332)
Ryan Lilja (6'2 290)
Jeff Saturday (6'2 295)
Jake Scott (6'5 295)
Ryan Diem (6'6 320)
Aside from Glenn and Saturday none of the other guys made a pro-bowl let alone an all-pro list. They are all about the same size as the current Eagles line as well. If you compared them to our project starting line (Peters healthy), Mudd practically duplicated this '06 squad.
I think Saturday is the only genuinely good player (Glenn retired) from that list, he seems to be doing solid with the Packers...but they also got discount double check taking snaps.
Did Howard Mudd have success with this small line...or did Peyton Manning cover its inadequecy?
Hypothetically, do you think Vick could have had the same success behind a line like that?
