If we do, I'm gonna say it will be a situation similar to Donovan's benching against Baltimore, where we see Vick return to the starting line-up the following week (unless Foles comes in and really plays lights out).

I think at 3-4, and with the game going such that we are looking at 3-5, it still might be too early for Reid to hit the panic button and go to Foles.  If Vick is really stinking it up, I could see a temporary benching.  Vick usually plays well against Dallas, so I could see Andy wanting him back as the starter for that game.
The difference is that despite his obvious weaknesses, McNabb was a much better QB than Vick is. Not that McNabb was great by any means, but still a lot better than Vick.

Since the new Kevlar vest has helped Vick from getting farther injuries ( at least to the upper torso which seems to be the usual area for injury)  I don't see any other option that would apply in Foles being inserted into this game. Or any other this season.

Not to open this can of worms but McNabb was great from '00-04. He fell off considerably after that.

It will not happen. Barring injury there is no way Reid keeps respect of the players if he benches Vick, only days after having his back

Who cares about respect of the players at this point? Which player has demonstrated that he himself should be respected

Just to remind everyone IF Foles plays and does great...he'd be playing the worst defense in the league. So don't put him on a pedestal after tonights game.
Same gos for Vick...So if Vick has a great game tonight don't go thinking he is a good QB he still is nothing more then avg and will show that next week. So please don't get excited tonight .Now if Vick strugles tonight that should be the end of Vick as a starting NFL qb period. There is noway Vick should not put up atleast 350 yards and atleast 3 TDs anything less then that on the worst Defence in the past 15 years would be pure failure.

Agreed, injuries derailed him from 2005-2007 and while he was still quite good in 2008 he'd fallen from the top echelon into the second tier of QBs and fell another level in 2009-11, perhaps a couple of tiers. I still think he's better than a few of the starting QBs in the league. I will now leave this can of worms alone for fear of this thread getting hijacked.

i think this game will look like the falcons game. the offense going 3 and out to many times because andy won't run the ball and use the short passing game to move the chains and control the clock. so in turn our defense will be on the field to many minutes giving up td's instead of punts and field goal attempts.

In that regard I think the O was very much to blame for the Falcons game. The D had just changed coordinators and came out very poorly on the opening drive.  If the O had put together some semblance of a drive instead of going 3 and out there's a decent chance the D performs better and doesn't give up 30. If NO comes out and scores and the O goes 3 and out then I will similarly blame the O and Vick.

I honestly feel that if Vick does horrible, he will get benched and we get to see Foles play.

Don't worry. Reid won't pull your boy. Besides the Vick fan club would make sure he didn't get put on a pedestal.

My boy? Your perception skills suck. I think Vick is done and I want the Eagles to have a better QB.

Andy won't pull Vick now for at least a few more weeks because Andy came out and basically gave him a glowing endorsement. We won't see Foles until the Eagles are mathmatically eliminated or until Vick is injured (which could happen).

I don't even blame the game on Vick last night. The OL was terrible. But there is still no point to playing Vick anymore.

Kinda hard to believe he hasn't been yet, with the pounding he keeps taking.  He may not be a very good QB, but he sure is one tough SOB.

I'm so glad we didn't see Foles. He would have been killed behind this line.

We didn't see him in New Orleans and from what I have heard we will not see him at all this season.  Andy Reid is sticking with his guy.

Can't think of a single valid reason not to switch to Foles at this point, but sadly, I don't think it's going to happen...

Aggressive? As in, play like he did in Atlanta? Hey, I'm all for it if it actually accomplished ANYTHING at this point.
