I do too. Not on any merit obviously, but because I think Lurie is too weak-kneed and cowardly to fire Reid. I don't think he's able to get the best out of these players. Maybe a change in HC, a different voice, a different philosophy will help to get the best out of them.

Well, he DID select, or approve selection of, the players that dropped the ball. That allowed the sacks. That are unable to score. He did select the OC that designs the plays and I'm sure, as HC, he approved those designs. In short his version of the WCO is antiquated. familiar to, and well countered by practically every DC in the league and he apparently has no answers. Not to mention his stubborness and refusal to adjust. It's time for a fresh face and NEW ideas.

He will not get run out during the season... I mean he goes Marty needs to go. Who becomes the interim?
And there is not one sensible coach out there taking this team mid season the way it is... let us be serious.
So point to your statement there is only one way he stays. The Virgin Mary squirts this team with the Juice and they win out...
NOT
GOING TO
HAPPEN!!!

Dude we go 9-7 with this team in the sorry state it is in... that is a miracle.

Also lets looks at it for real 9-7 does not make it. The way it is turning out is we have to win out or go 10-6 (worst to make it)
The following 4 are going from each division:
Giants, Atlanta, Bears/Packers (close), and 49ers
the wildcard will be Bears or Packers (whoever does not win out) and Seattle. (Vikings have a shot too if they do not let their season flush down the toilet... NFC North is looking strong)
So how exactly do we make the playoffs again?

This is irrelevant. After tonight's game, its pretty clear the players aren't buying his BS anymore.

Exactly. There is little Reid can do now. Doesn't help when you lose parts of your OL to injury.
That said, I suspect if rogue alumni at Penn State do get their wish after the season and Penn State is pressured to oust Bill o'Brien from loyalists to Joe Pa (which I can see happening because there is a significant chunk of the alumni at last check that is very loyal to Joe Pa's family and is still very PO'ed at how things went down last year), I think Lurie immediately takes that potential problem off Penn State's hands by bringing in o'Brien as head coach to replace Reid, while that faction of the alumni then gets what they wanted all along, that most likely being Tom Bradley replacing o'Brien at Penn State.

One other thing:
I suspect regardless of how the Eagles do this season, we are going to see schools in the Pac-12 looking to bring in Andy Reid as their new head coach. Given the money the Pac-12 schools are getting from their new TV deal with FOX ($20 million per school excluding new members Colorado and Utah), California (Berkley) in particular I can see going for Reid this off-season with the new facilities being built there.

I mean heck guys we got 4 games against the Redskins and Cowboys all winnable. The Panthers, Bengals, and Bucs are all winnable games.
Even the Giants on the road is winnable.
Now am I saying I think we'll win all of them NOOOOOOOOO, am I saying 9-7 is likely thats debateable.
The talent is there to go 9-7 but the defense sucks and the line is just too banged up with no depth... 7-9 is more likely..

You obviously suffer from battered Andy Reid syndrome. He is GONE!! Lurie was looking pissed at the end of Monday's game because he NOW KNOWS he should've fired him after last season, if not after losing his fourth NFC Championship 1/09!!! COME ON! This game was an utter disgrace!! McNabb/Vick, it doesn't matter. This red zone offense has been pathetic since 2005. Lurie's problem is he likes Andy Reid, too much. He became emotionally involved when his sons' went to prison. This is worse than the end of Norman Braman. Braman let Kotite stay on after some mediocre 8-8 season in 1993. Then Lurie buys the Eagles, and let's Kotite destroy himself (7-2 = 7-9). There is no 7-9 this season, this team is DONE! How can the Eagles let the NO defense prevent the team from scoring TD's??

With this OL in it's current state... Every single Defense out there... I mean EVERY SINGLE ONE can hold us to less than 18.
Even 7-9 is a stretch in the current state of the team, especially this OL!
