Watching this game it was evident these players lack discipline. In past weeks the Defense would get a 3rd down stop only to have Hendricks hold a player, Babin hold, Nmadi hold or some other dumb penalty. This week Riley Cooper and Brandon Boykin botched a perfectly called special teams play. I want to blame Boykin for leading Riley too much but it seems that Riley may have got up too quickly and Boykin threw the pass for him to catch it on the run. Cooper also had that bad crack back call which isnt a penalty if it's to that side of the play.
Bell had 10 plus bad playsat least, Rodgers Cromartie and Nnamdi have routinely been out of place, missed tackles and just play nonchalant in games lately.
Celek drops passes, doesnt run his routes as he should, and then of all things he cant block for ish.
Maclin is proving week by week he's nothing close to a top receiver, he is one of the most disappointing first round picks in a while because of the hype he had coming out of college. The fact that he's single covered on 90 percent of his plays and still cant get open is mind boggling. That block in the back on Shady's 30+ yard run was another typical bonehead Maclin play as well. Sometimes it's like that kid is lost on the field
Imagine what will happen if some team tries to make him their #1 and he's doubled every week all game. That one pass where the announcers first thought Vick over threw Maclin wasn't a over throw. Maclin threw up one hand and made it seem like the ball was about to go over his head only for it to his his forearm. When's the last time you saw a Eagles receiver lay out for a TD? Watch the Packers, Patriots, and other teams receivers made plays on the ball, whether it's making a step or two back to secure a catch to, making a great catch with one or two hands or laying out for a catch. Avant makes good catches but he's limited athletically.
The Eagles should've kept McNutt on the roster and played Gilyard a little more to see if they have the desire to make those catches qb's need receivers to make. It makes the difference in the world when a qb knows he can throw a ball in the vicinity of a receiver and the receiver will make a play to catch that pass or knock it down at worse.
Something just doesnt seem right with this team, how can a Dline lead the league in sacks one year and barely touch qb's the next with the same scheme and more fire power. Babin seems like a punk lately, and with the lack of playing the run he's becoming very expendable.
Many guys made multiple mistakes....

Maclin was a beast until this season. He just tapered off. I've been very quick to blame the coaching staff (and to a degree it's still their fault) but these players truly do lack discipline. They just aren't buying into Reid's system anymore and that's ultimately what is going to get Reid fired. Too bad because after tonight I'm through with blaming this all on Reid.

Playcalling: The Eagles rushed for 221 yards on 29 carries. That's a 7.9 yards per carry average. For some reason, the Eagles still leaned more on the pass in the first half. They went away from the run almost entirely to start the second half. Vick ended with 41 throws.

Maclin has never been a beast. He's had some good games but he's benefited from being single covered and teams focusing on DeSean, McCoy and Vick over the years. Last year vs the Bills, Falcons and another game had TD's of his where the defense all over reacted to DeSean running and either doubled or triple teamed him leaving Maclin wide open on the backside. He was a solid player but he's never been a beast, especially when you compare him to Nicks who was drafted the same year as Maclin
