Who gives a da_n what AR says, and has said after every loss ... that is just a smoke screen of "coach's blabber." No coach, from Paul Brown to Bill Belichek, has won with a weak O-line, let alone one that has lost 4 of it's 5 starting interior linemen. The injury to Herrimans was a back-breaker. Given the OL situation, however, the O Coordinator needed to adjust and Vick needed to recognize defensive coverages and blitzes. It's become quite clear that Vick, despite his athleticism is a little weak above the shoulders. Marty is nearly as weak in the head department, hard headedly continuing with things that are not working. Losing, like winning can become contagious. The plague that has struck the Eagles started when Jeff L hung the albatros around Andy's neck, it got worse when Jason Peters tore his AT and the situation got even worse as starter after starter was injured. The knee jerk firing of Juan Castillio just muddled things even more. Todd Bowles seems to have made things worse. John Gruden's comment about the Eagle's high priced acquisitions stepping-up was right on target. Where were DeMeko, Nnamdi, Babin, DRC, and Jenkins when Breese started carving-up the defense? Even Trent Cole went cold. It's also very disheartening that DeSean and Macklin can not get open, that Celek and Harbour can't hold on to passes that other tight ends in the league routinely handle. The season is a total team failure thus far. No one can be singled-out, everyone has been a part of this cluster f___ of a season.

As I said 3 weeks ago. Call JOHN GRUDEN, ask him "How Much" and give it to him....Tell MY and Boles to take a hike and let Foles have the rest of the season to get to see what he can do....That's where the future is.....not Vick and Reid

The mistakes are fixable? Didn't we just hear that 2 weeks ago? The reason the RZ offense and tackling are so poor is because this team lacks toughness. They are soft and it's pretty much the whole team save for a few players. I'm not sure that's fixable. Even Shady seems to have lost that nose for the end zone. After a brilliant 34 yard run, he goes down with little contact from a smaller DB. A good stiff arm and he's in the end zone there. When the Eagles have first and goal, you don't know which team is gonna score. It's got to the point where you hope we don't turn it over so we can at least get 3. We need to draft bigger and badder dudes that can lay the wood. Last years draft was a good start but we're still suffering from the previous 2-3 drafts which were poor. You can't build a team with FA's. I've been a big AR supporter and hoped he would get a championship here, but I think the writings on the wall now. Time to move on.

Pace-here's a nice breakdown of the O line's performance against the blitz last night.
This is the same line you wish to put Foles behind;

I agree it's time to play Foles. This team is one of the worst in the NFL right now, 3-5 and could easily be 0-8. I don't think Vick is the reason, but it's pretty obvious that his days are numbered here. We could be looking at a high draft pick next year and we need to see Foles play in games that are meaningful so we can evaluate. What can it hurt? Other teams are winning with rookie QB's in the NFL these days.

phan, Foles showed a natural ability in preseason to get rid of the ball quickly and hit those quick slants accurately with good(and fast) decision making. I think being 6-6 helps a lot there. I don't know if that's gonna translate over to games that count but it would be something to look forward to. It would keep me interested in this team instead of the same old same old every week.

If we are not getting sacks because the other teams are max protecting and chipping with backs and tight ends, why do we constantly spread the field and not help our beat up line protect Vick? If you really wanted to fix it, you would at least try to adjust. Someone told me last night - Vick was safer in jail.

Yes, I agree that Foles looked good in PS. However, the circumstances were not the same. MM should be adjusting to what D's are showing to both save Vick and give the O line some relief. He does not accomplish this. The theory is that the play calling would be different if Foles or Edwards were to start. Take the play book MM would use for Foles or TE and run it with Vick-what would the results be? I'd really love to see the results but unfortunately, MM is too stubborn (or too inept?) either way, he's getting his QB killed. Don't get me wrong, Foles ,at this point, is our future and I'd love to see what he can do. At the same time, the kid would get pounded due to our OC being who he is.

AR has been saying this for years. If it's fixable we'll be winning the super bowl alot. Missed tackles, Oline problems. I think AR has lost this team. There's no fight in this team anymore.

No quarterback can get anything w/o an offensive line! What are they doing up there?

The so called "new" Era can't start without a new coach; I say dump him now & play some young guys(incl.Folks) the rest of this lost season(just like last year)

not saying fire ar now but I think making the playoffs and out does not keep him around. this team by many accounts was a pick to make a deep run in the playoffs and was put together to be a superbowl team, period. As far as tv contracts go, they can be made to have outs in them for these coaches turn analyst. As far a benching Vick, NO WAY. Foles would be a sitting duck back there, do you bring Vick back next year? Don't know that answer, he has a pretty huge contract to get rid of. But I would get in line to trade up for some of the young arms coming out this year. It may no be that far up to snag one the way this season is going. There have been alot of rookies the past 2 years making big impacts in their first year. I want nothing more than to see things turned around and mak a DEEP run in the playoffs, but after watching the last few games I don;t know. I guess the biggest concern would be is AR's message not making an impact on his players, if that;'s the case and he has lost the team it's game over for him. He has made questionable moves over the past few years that are not panning out. They gave him all the rope he needed to either pull this tem up or hang himself with.
