I stopped and laughed when he said Rodgers has protection. Now I know that he doesn't know what he looks at.

LOL comparing Rodgers to Vick.

No turnovers, RECORD turnovers, that keep happening are Vick's fault.  Right . . . .

I stopped when Young said Vick was an elite player. He is not. The line was bad last night, and has not been good all year, but Vick cannot be fully excused just because his line isn't playing well.

Can't read defenses and has problems making certain throws. Sounds like McNabb to me.

The worst D in the league just destroyed Vick and caused a 99 yard VICK SIX to start it off.

McNabb was 10 times the QB that Vick has ever been outside of a handful of games in 2010.

I remember when I posted clips of the coaching tape against the Cards and how much time Vick had before he had pressure and it was just over 2.2 seconds on non-blitzing downs.  The avg time a sack occured on a NFL QB was 3.0 seconds.  The blitz's in the cards game were getting home in just over 1 second.

You cannot function behind that.  This line IS the worst in the league right now.  Of course the play calling is horrible though and so I do disagree that its not Andy's fault.  I remember a Greenbay game where Rogers was getting killed, he wasnt completing anything.  Greenbay came out and did nothing but run the ball until Seattle got the picture.  I think it was like 12 runs in a row.

To the OP, you can show all the evidence you want, some idiots on this board are determined that its Vick's fault no matter whats the real story.  No one seems to even remember when Kolb was here and started the season against the Packers and got killed many times before his eventual concussion.  This Oline has been bad for a very very long time.  Of course its worse now.

You can have Young, Brady, Manning who ever you wanted right now it wouldnt matter, you have a Oline that cant block, you have a coaching staff that refuses to help out.  IMHO we should be pay Vick the 15 million next year as a apology for the BS he has had to endure the last two years.

Early on in the season I blamed Vicks struggles on line play and play calling. Thinking that if the playcalling got better it would put Vick is better situations which would result in better play. Vick is one of few mobile QB's that can still make plays behind horrible lines, passing and with his legs but even now that isn't good enough for him to keep his job.

But as the season goes on and reflecting on games from last year, Vick is not getting better at things when he does have time in the pocket. Throw out all of the busted plays where Vick gets sacked because of pressure and take a look at the plays where Vick has time and take a look at pre-snap decisions. I am still seeing a Vick holding onto the ball too long, not making pre-snap adjustments when safeties come creepin in, delivering late throws to targets down field, missing plays early on as they develop and instead of hitting the right guy downfield he dumps it off underneath to a tight covered RB or TE for a gain of 3 yards when he could have ran it for more than that. Vick just isn't getting better at the small things and he has run out of time to "improve"....he is 33 and takes a beating every week. Vick has made some good plays, he has made some great plays but his time here has come to an end for me.

Small things that good QB's do, Vick hasn't done. Last night when Avant's catch was questionable Vick should have known to hurry up and get his players to the line and get a play off before NO had a chance to throw the challenge flag, because honestly we got LUCKY with that call, the ref's screwed that up because it wasn't a catch. But just the little things, instead of hustling to the line the players are just standing around pleading their case to the ref's. I have just seen enough, even if Vick throws for 400 yds, 4 TD's and 0 INT's against Dallas I will still not be impressed, Vick is basically finished, his head is elsewhere, he pressures himself too much every week and he just can't shake the struggles. Time to move on......

Vick is playing with a high school offensive line.  It's not his fault.  He's working his a** off to avoid pressure.  He battled his a** off last night.  You people need to stop drinking so much during the pregame so that you can see what's happening.

Agreed, McNabb had obvious flaws in his game but was very good at preventing turnovers. I hold my breath every time this nitwit has the ball in his hands.

What about the Seattle game, Rodgers was sacked 8 times.

Look at Ben Roethlisberger, sacked 314 times in his career, he's in his 9th season.

I wonder how he comes to that conclusion. BecauseVick's performances (since entering the NFL) definitely does not  validate that.
So the only conclusion one can derive from Young's claim, is boob's QB brotherhoood thingy.

While Vick is nowhere close to being an innocent party in this train wreck, it's impossible to effectively do your job when you've got defenders in your face as soon as you snap the ball.

This OL is putrid.  No QB would have time, duh.  Sure he missed a couple of throws but Vick did everything he could last night.  Brady or Manning or FOLES would be in the hospital after last night.  Bad playcalling AGAIN in critical situations last night.  This defense got abused on the ground.  Couldn't believe it.  NO barely tries to run.  Shameful performance.

That line was horrible last night, but that doesn't excuse Vick for playing horrible for the few games of the year either. I'm not blasting Vick for playing badly last night, quit making assumptions.

Baldinger just ran through 4 or so plays where Vick had both time AND a wide open reciever. Blew everyone of them.

Yeah, the line play blows, but Vick is even playing below his USUAL sub par level. Can't say I blame him much with the beat downs he's taking.

He should probably be sat for both his physical AND mental health...... Maybe Marcus had a point last night...

I doubt anybody is questioning Vick's effort. They are questioning his ability to play well.
