I had previously believed that Reid was just gonna ride out this season and pray the team started to gel and he could save his job. I thought that if he thought he could win with Foles, he's put him in. I thought (based on the firing of Castillo) that if a coach was underpeforming, Reid would get rid of him to save himself.
I have come to realize, that Reid knows he's done, and he's not about to do anything more to help this team rebuild in the "post Reid" era. He won't fire any more of his coaches (unless he's given no choice by Lurie) because that would give the new coaches time to gel wtih the team and learn the system and the club. He knows if those coaches do a decent job, they'll stay even though he is fired.
He won't make a QB switch, because right now, Foles is the presumed quarterback of the future (i.e post Reid era) and Reid isn't about to let him get some time at the helm and experience running the post Reid offense.
Reid is going to take this team to the bottom of the ocean with him. The only way to prevent that is to fire him midseason, and Lurie won't do that. Buckle up, folks. We're torpedoing towards the bottom at warp speed.
Reid isn't going down w the ship. He's taking it down w him.

Unfortunately, this seems like it's true

I don't see how firing coaches and bringing in new ones midseason would help for next year. It would be better for a new head coach to make their own personnel decisions, no?
As far as the players go, the young guys are getting plenty of playing time. The only thing he could do is put Foles in, but I'm not thinking that would be good for Fole's future.

Reid deserves to go down with the ship, he has put in the work here. We owe him that much.

If it gets to a point where it makes no sense to put Vick out there, we'll see Foles.
And firing more coaches at this point is meaningless.

Foles is NOT the presumed QB of the future, he is at best a "unknown" talent. He was good in preseason, i was very impressed, then again so was Lewis, Curry and Hunt and Thorton and Gilyard and on and on and on.
If the FO knows its going to move on, and by this point I think Dallas will be the tipping the point honestly, there will be moves after that. If Andy doesnt play along with Howie's wishes he will be fired. If we get blown out by Dallas (I think we will), he will be given the choice of being a puppet or stepping down.
The GM then should start to dictate who he wants to see at what spot because I promise you by this time he will have good long discussions with Lurie on who we want as a HC and sent out feelers.
I fully expect Foles to start the last 3 games of the year for us regardless of how well Vick is playing. They NEED to know to either go into the draft and go hard after Geno Smith etc or if they are going to see how Foles plays out.
The biggest problem again though is you almost have to wait until the Oline situation is stablized. Why? Because it wouldnt be a very fair situation to evaluate this rookie QB under.

Andy has been here for over a decade and deserves to go down with the ship on his terms. We should not have fired juan but reid probably wants him available for his next gig. The writing is on the wall. There is no changing it now. There needs to be a philosphy change. Roseman did a good job but it may need to extend all the way to his position. You just can't account for the problems on the Oline. I don't really want sean peyton. But I am sure who ever the coach is it will be a good choice.

Nice try. Andy Reid is the Executive Vice President of football operations. The only way he's getting fired is if he fires himself, or Lurie finally throws in the towel.

Howie doesn't care about titles. Howie does what Howie wants.
