If/when the Eagles are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs he probably should say something then.  It would be like agony to leave AR to play out the remaining games if he knows he is done after the season.
IF Lurie is sincere that a 500 or worse season ( which is looking likely now) will not ensure Reid his job. Than Reid already knows his fate.
I don't think Lurie will make a public statement declaring it. Until he has his replacement signed, sealed and delivered. That is usually how he has operated in the past. With both Kotite and Rhodes. I don't expect him to do any differently with Reid.

He just keeps writing checks, that is about it.

Lurie cares a lot and is tired of coming up short every year.

He must have felt humiliated after the game the other night; I know I did.

Barring a quick turnaround, Reid's tenure as coach is over.

It's probably best that he didn't say anything. When people are super emotional they usually say things they don't want to. I think the look on his face said everything.

Neither did Juan.Castillo, let him reap what he sowed.
Thats not what most were saying before it happened. But I do agree. He didn't deserve to be the scape goat for his  buddy Mornhenweg.

Ohh, I get it:  Lets just allow Andy to "twist in the wind" and allow three or four final games to provide no opportunity to allow a HC to make improvements for the subsequent season?  I imagine that either Dallas or Washington will evaluate their standings in the league and likewise do the same?

I think sometimes the irrational dislike of AR prevents some here for advocating what would be better for the team.  And the suggestion that Lurie make a statement, well it isn't as if you cannot read the news and avoid the statement from last year, the ultimatum that the team perform better than 8-8.  Truth be told Jason Peters fired Andy playing basketball this off season, and that fact was evident when Kelce went down against Baltimore,  did that ultimatum include an O-line that includes the turnstiles that we have playing this weekend?

I guess some are enjoying watching AR twist in the wind, but I will be watching Lurie to see what the Plan-B is.  There is no bad situation that cannot get worse and the hope of Bell showing up in Philadelphia or Kotite, well we have been there also

You do not get it. For some reason you are wanting him to comment. That does nothing but create a media circus.

What he is doing the RIGHT thing. The professional thing. You really idolize Jerry Jones for speaking out. Are you kidding me? He is the main problem down in Dallas. I thought years of that being done over and over would be evident to you by now.

Right now he is playing his hand out until the end. At that point we will get his decision. No need for opinions outside of closed doors. Inside closed doors I am sure A LOT is being talked about.

Do not air out dirty laundry...

Oh and not one other owner des air out dirty laundry except the idiots... ala Jerry Jones and Dan Snyder.

I guess that I'm sort of like wondering if all this guy will do is perform one press conference at the end of the year and annouce that he has extended a contract to his FO and hasn't a viable coach that wants the job?

He was probably so pizzed off he didn't want to say something that would hurt someones feelings.  If I were him I would have called all of the coaches in my office and cursed every last one of them out.  Then I would have told them to get the F out of my Office and get this ish straight or else.
