Everyone says Vick "holds the ball too long and makes our Oline look bad"
Even when he gets the ball in 1-2 seconds he's getting lit up.. That's if he's able to even get it off.
That's all a bunch of crap.. This line sucks..

Vick doesn't throw the ball quickly. That would mean that he actually read the defense and knew where to go with the ball.

Brees is the same height and takes time. HIS OLINE IS BETTER!!!!!

Did anyone see how much time Breese had?  How long it took him to throw the ball?  Don't give me this ish about Vick holds the ball too long.  Just because he gets sacked or hit you think he held it to long.  I geuss if he gets hit in 2 sec he should of threw it in 1 huh?  Its the OL and the playcalling and the whole Andy Reid system (no hot routs, center calls the protection, etc)...  Its garbage

Won't help my man.  They are going to say he holds the ball no matter what you say.  The line sucks and it's clear but the people that hate the man do not care.  According to them the O-line is fine but Michael Vick is making the O-line look bad.  It seems EVERYONE can see this except them.  They say Start Foles and he will make them better.

Brees had alot of time most plays because we were rushing four and playing coverage. We didn't blitz brees at all. Why? Because brees is a blitz killer. Teams are blitzing vick on nearly every down. why? because they know it works.

what these guys saying Vick is too slow at reading the game need to realize most of the time he's under pressure and is running scared for his life and if he does actually have time our passy happy coaches insist we throw 20 yards downfield every play.  Of course he needs to wait longer than most QB's to throw the ball.

Its just the taters that seem to want to bring up the 3.5 seconds or whatever it is.  Because they think we'll win a super bowl with FoLeZzZzZzZz in there...

And Vick sucks. And he does hold the ball too long, almost a half second longer than any other QB and I know it doesn't sound like much, but that's a huge gap.

Did you see how Brees used the pocket? Stepping up, moving when necessary? We got pressure, but he knows how to use the pocket. Here's an example: Brees gets pressure off Left Side, steps up to buy time. Vick get's same pressure, runs back or laterally. Sack.

Are you people really that biased against Vick.  Brees gets pressure its a free Trent Cole and nobody else in support I could sidestep Cole in that situation.

Vick gets pressure and its 3 defenders from 3 different angles and its his fault because he cant read the game.  Somehow someway most of the time he gets out of it and keeps the play alive, thus adding to that average 3.5 seconds per play....duhhhhh

It also doesn't help that on average our OL is probably about 6" taller than Vick and almost all of our receivers minus Celek and Cooper. That's why I think Foles would make a big difference without regarding his pocket poise.

The blame is on both, Vick holds the ball too long but the line is also not holding any blocks.  If Vick knew how to read a defense he would check out of the original play into a slant or screen and he wouldn't get his to much.

this. Just take the play where vick fumbled for example...the first rusher came absolutely free......vick goes backwards 5 yards and spins left right into a pass rusher on his left. many will say that's on the oline but they are incorrect. the blitzer coming free was never seen by vick presnap. the defender that hits him breaks free in an area where the lineman would have absolutely no idea that the play is back there.  you can't expect guys to hold up pass protection 15 yards behind the line of scrimmage. the smart in that situation would be for vick to either step up and throw the ball at someone's feet, try to run out of the pocket to throw the ball away to the side the defender is coming at him where he can see, or simply go down and take the sack. bad things happen when you start dancing around 20 yards behind the line of scrimmage.

Why isn't Avant starting when they need the ball out quick and he is the only receiver on the team that can consistently get off the line?

When you're under duress you often revert back to habits which I think is what screws him. He spent his entire football life running around and being able to beat out pretty much every defender. As he wears down he's just not able to outrun defenders which is where he gets himself into trouble and literally makes the OL's job impossible to do if they don't know where he's going. 2 years trying to make him into a pocket passer isn't going to be able to change his brain completely from being hardwired for how he played when he was younger.

So given that,  hat was his excuse in the second half of 2010 and all of 2011?

they won't answer you because they are insistent that there is nothing wrong with mike that is of his own doing. When the line was playing better they were blaming marty and andy for playcalling. The line is bad there is no doubt about it but the main reason for that is because teams have zero fear in sending the house at vick on every play. it's the same thing they figured out in 2010. Now every coordinator is doing it and we have no answer for it.

They'll say that in 2011 the line was still "bad" even though its the same line Shady got 20 TDs behind. I also remember Vince Young barely getting touched in his two games last year behind the same line.
