All you people that blame the OL are missing the obvious.  IT IS VICK'S FAULT!!

Throughout his entire career he has shown one thing- that if you blitz him you will beat him, and beat him bad!
Defenses don't fear the quick strike throw that with a broken tackle could be a long TD with Vick because he CAN'T make a quick read/throw, nor has he ever been able to!!

You still all act like he is a rookie.  He has shown this crap for 10 years and defenses took a couple years to catch onto but now it's an embarrassment to have him at QB!!

Tom Brady, Peyton Manning or Drew Brees would laugh at some of those blitzes that the Saints showed CLEARLY before the snap as they would hit a quick route and get another TD pass.  Vick thinks he can run away from it or something.  I honestly don't know you guys are still so slow in realizing that Vick is a joke!
You do know we haven't been constantly blitzed, right? That's the problem, they come through the Oline even without blitzing. Add the fact Vick isn't great and you get out losing record right now.

Before people bash me I will admit in all caps and in bold so people see it...

VICK COULD BE PLAYING BETTER

But I get sick to my stomach when I have to read how Vick is one of the biggest reasons this team is 3-5 now.  No!!!  No he isn't even close to the main reason why this team is 3-5.  One of his worst games were against the Browns (we won that game so can't count that), Ravens?  We won that one to.  Cardinals, Lions, Falcons, Saints the OL was complete garbage in.  Really the only loss I put squarly on Vick was the loss to Pittsburgh...

I can't stand when on TV and the internet people are bashing him left and right.  You want a new QB for this team?  Fine.  Could Foles be better?  Of course he could be.  Am I starting to be of the sense that you just need a pocket passer to win SBs?  Yes I am beginning to believe scrambling QBs just don't win big in this league.  However can we please (talking to you media) stop talking about how Vick is playing so poorly?  I mean freaking put Tom Brady behind our OL and I promise you Brady would stink up the joint.  I actually think Vick would outplay Brady if you could somehow duplicate the Eagles and watch them both at QB.  Yes Brady is a better QB (clearly) I am just talking about how bad this OL is...

The combination of the OL and the playcalling is killing Vick.  If those two things were at least average than Vick I promise you would be a top 10 QB and probably top 7 in passer rating right now.  But sadly we will never see the 2010 Vick again (at least not with the Eagles).  Coach Reid will be fired after this season (Thank god) and honestly Vick will be gone to.  The job at QB will either belong to Foles, a high priced FA QB (unlikely), or a high draft pick...

Sorry I just wanted to rant a bit.  I am not saying Vick is playing great (although I do think he has played much better as of late but sadly you cannot tell because the OL and playcalling are so bad which is really sad).

Here is to hoping either the Eagles turn it around and make the playoffs or finish how we all think they will (8-8 or worse) and hopefully Andy, Marty, Bowles, Mudd, and Washburn, and April will all be gone.

Not here to defend Vick.  Just think we need to admit which is the bigger problem on the Eagles right now?  Vick?  Or the OL?  If you picked the OL (which u should) think about who that impacts the most?  Vick!!!  So why we getting on him as much?
And thats the same thing that killed McNabb.....Andy Reid, bad play calling and bad selection of players.....

Pfft. I wouldn't compare McNabb to Vick.

McNabb was a QB who ran.  Vick is a RB who throws.

I am the biggest Vick fan in the world, and while I whole heartedly agree Vick should be playing better, I find it really difficult to say he's the problem when he can't even go through his steps with having to evade a defender...there is no pocket for him...he has to scramble and roll out...Bell might as well not been on the field. The pick six is mostly on Mike, mostly on Celek for not getting it...I heard a receiver say once "if you can get a hand on it, you can catch it", it wasn't a good throw, but I'll be damned if it wasn't catchable.  How many of these INTs called on Vick are the result of the pass bouncing off a receivers hand or being batted up by a lineman. Not all INT's are the result of poor pass attempt.

I agree with everything except this. Vick's turnovers played a part in the game being so close, but the last time he had the ball, we had the lead.  He brought us back, but the defense, who couldn't get to Big Ben all day, and didn't get to any QB for a month, let the defense convert a 3rd and long, and then let the Steelers drive all the way down in FG range.

Did you see what the Steelers did to the Ginas in New York on Sunday?  Our defense coordinated by the apparently useless Juan Castillo held them to 16 in their own house, and you're going to tell me that Vick fumbling on the damn 1 yard line wasn't more of a factor than the D, he fumbled on our 34 at the end of the first quarter and the D held them for no yards, calling the D out on that game was the most unfair charge levelled at Castillo.

McNabb was Flawed; but he was a better QB than Vick.
So Please get over this blame crap!

Im starting to think are O Line wants to get Vick killed. And they wouldn't even max protect when it was obvious they were bringing 6 or more. This coaching staff is a joke. There was so many oppurtunities to hit D Jax in 1on1 coverage if they would of just blocked a TE and running back.Instead they go empty bacfield lmfao.

There you go......

The OL stinks, but Vick has to be one of the dumbest QBs ever. He cannot read a defense to save his life and he forces too many passes. I can't wait till he's gone.

Yes the line is dad but DNL showed at least 6/7 key plays that Vick missed open
rec. and went to the wrong rec,
2 wrong do not make a right.

If people don't realize that the offensive line is the biggest issue on this team, they're idiots. Straight up. You got former and past NFL players commenting on it and telling it how it is. To put this all on Mike is pretty ridiculous.

The o line may be poor this year but you could put Vick behind the Pat's o line and he still wouldn't be any damn good. The last time Mike Vick was worth his contract was when he was playing for it in 2010. Since then he's veered between adequate and godawful.

Brady, Manning, Brees and Rodgers they all have the odd bad game but they have a lot of games where they flat out take defenses apart so you can forgive them the odd time they stink it up, Vick is like the polar opposite of that, he has the odd good game, but he has lots more where honestly he makes throws that even I can see aren't going to end well before he throws them. The only thing he's got in common with them is the size of his contract and honestly he's robbing this franchise, he ought to turn up to practice wearing a mask.

Nobody is putting it all on Vick - we all realize and acknowledge that the offensive line stinks.  I don't think you will get any argument to the contrary from anyone on this board.  However, offensive line issues aside, Vick is struggling too ... and has not been playing well for the better part of two seasons now.

that information is useless without doing this analysis on how much plays the elite qbs (brady, manning, rodgers) are missing. and yes they do miss them.

I would agree,  but after Marcus' recent tweets, and the obvious lawyer provider press release from Marcus,  it's obvious Marcus can not put more than  scant few words together without horribly screwing up.   So Morris has that going for him at least.

So a decimated OL is to blame for the entire season?  Can you please stop with these threads?

Vick is a terrible QB.  His flaws compound the weaknesses on Offense and that reason alone is why he needs to be benched.

The line is horrible, but we've lost 4 starters. What do you expect? That said, Vick makes the lines job harder at times and still threw a stupid pick six and fumbled. As bad as this OL is, Vick is just as bad as a QB. Good line or not. Last year he has a very good OL and still blew. Vick will not be back, should not be back.

C'mon, you can't be that stupid. You're seriously blaming Vick for a pick that bounced off of Celek's hands, and a fumble which he had pressure in his face at the snap of the ball, went to his right to avoid it, and got smacked by a rusher coming from the left ?

This is why there's no point in arguing with Vick haters.

Here's another idiot. Yes, a decimated offensive line to blame for the offensive struggles this season. I guess you don't think protection is that important.

thats what we want to see. The line looked a ton better with vince young last year and foles in preseason this year. You don't think its any coincidence that the line has always looked bad no matter where vick has played?

And here's another one. They (the idiots) just keep coming. The line looked a ton better with Jason Peters and Jason Kelce last year, and with Foles against guys who are backups or not in the league at all.

How good did the Oline look against Seattle last year ?

The line hasn't been decimated all season and our best game all season was after Kelce went down... So stop it.

Is it a legitimate reason to struggle... it is now that there is no one left.

Vick is still extremely mediocre and his weaknesses make the line worse.
