If for some personal reasons, Jeff Lurie keeps Andy Reid as the Head Coach for next year, what do Eagles fans do? Will you hope for a turn around season, will you accept the owner's reasons for keeping him, or will you stop buying tickets & merchandise, parking, tailgates, etc?

What "personal reason" would Lurie have that would keep Andy around for another season?

I've already stopped buying tickets, merchandise, etc... simply because Andy has been the coach for the last 5-6 years.

Although I would consider boxing up some eagles merchandise, sending them to Lurie and saying I have no use for these items and your team until he fixes the mistake he's made with retaining Reid over the last 6 years.

You just never know how the wheels of management will turn. Right now we are speculating that Andy Reid will be gone. Whatever happens at the end of the year, one thing for sure, there will be a lot of media intervention, fans (bloggers) will give their opinons, etc. It will be a circus all the way around. Get ready for it. Lots of hate, anger, frustration, bewilderment, lots of wtf --- it's almost what we are waiting for. Screw the upcoming games. What is Jeff Lurie going to do?????

What i mean by Lurie having a change of mind for personal reasons is that he knows Andy as a coach, and with his personal family issues (loss of son), maybe he let's Andy stay and makes the 2013 his last year of the contract. Its just a thought, like others have said, Lurie holds the final decision, we will know most likely the week after the season is over.

As a Packers fan, what would you do if the Eagles fired Reid after this year, then the Packers signed him to be the head coach for next year?  Would you continue to purchase merchandise?

Andy has run his course here. If you can't see that it's too late for you.

I would be glad to trade coaching staffs with the Packers right now.

I will not renew my season tickets if Andy is back next year. I know someone on the waiting list will take my tickets, but I can not support an owner who pisses on my head and tells me it's raining.

At some point you must understand that this is football and just like all pro sports, to think you are gonna have a winning team EVERY year for over a decade is foolish no matter who the coach is, andy didnt just forget how to coach this game at a high level, you dont just have as much success as he has had and chalk it up to luck, some of the teams he took to the NFC championship game were not that good and from a talent perspective this team is much better which is why you have to put this seasons blame on the players, their total lack of effort being displayed every week, the sense of entitlement & arrogance they ooze with in every interview or comment they speak.

Now all that being said, am i totally happy with andy, marty and the rest of this staff? hells no....
sometimes andy and marty call questionable plays- correct... but, if these players would execute correctly and show some heart 100% of the time even the strange situational play WOULD work as it has in the past.

i think the firing of juan castillo was dumb and a knee jerk scapegoat reaction to try and save AR's own huge butt.-correct... but, once again if these players would stop acting like primadonna babies who judging by the way they were talking early in the season u would have thought we had won something already, i was expecting the greatest defense in the league but they just arent getting it done in any aspect,. effort, execution, or heart.

this season is not 100% on andy reid... unless the fat man starts hitting the field himself in pads and missing tackles, getting blown off the ball on run plays, not getting pressure with the most overrated d-line in history, not getting turnovers or on offense not reading the blitz', fumbling like crazy or refusing to block with howard mudd's matador technique this season cant fully be blamed on andy.

there is only so much you can do as a coach and with this group of never was'/has beens who are laughing all the way to the bank
as this season goes into the toilet you have start blaming the players, its their responsibility to get things done on the field which is where we are severely  lacking.

if you truly hate the fatman, then stop listening to and buying into his words of "we have to get better and it starts with me", "i have to put players in better positions to make plays" and "thats my responsibility", hes only saying that stuff because its what a good coach does, taking the bullet for his players so they can stay focused on the task at hand.

85% of this season lands on these stiffs we have getting rich to impersonate professional football players. thats fact.

"times yours."

I posted this in another topic but feel I should post it here.

I think when Laurie said 8-8 was not good enough and a change will be made, he meant the wide nine, the o-line coach and the d-line coach along with the new D-head coach. We were not to bad before these coaches and the wide nine came along. Andy will either keep his job or move up to the front office. Just a thought.
