Some of you will not like this because it make your "Vick can't read defenses " sound foolish.  Vick is doing a good job considering what he's being asked to work with.  Warrior!!!

I mean he was terrible against atlanta when he had WR open, and was still poor pre-snap this game. Every time we went empty the saints checked to a 7 man blitz, yet Mike was baffled when they had free rushers

funny just like how drew brees in that game had a free blitzer coming at him when they went empty backfield. not a word about it.

That's funny. Baldy and Didinger reviewed the all 22 films on Tuesday, and pointed out at least a 1/2 dozen plays that Mike totally screwed the pooch on.

Guess you've just found the one guy who's telling you what you want to believe.

Didinger isn't a joke.  Are the screenshots given in the piece by Kapadia the only footage of the All-22 that is available?  Again, without each of us looking at all of the All-22 footage, we can only go on what we see/hear from others.  It's from there where we have to decide who and what to believe.

Fans are blaming almost everyone involved with the Eagles.  This includes Vick, the offensive line, the WR's, the defensive line, the LB's, the CB's, the safeties, the coaches, the GM, and the owner.

Um, actually it was on 'daily news live', and they ran film of six or so plays where Mike F'ed up. Very clear and unarguable. Andy didn't slip by either. They showed several plays where the Taints D clearly knew the play coming, based solely on the formation for the play. Also showed film of some of the whiffs on blocking assignment's, as well as missed assignments on the D, missed tackles on the D and so on.

This team sucking is an all around team effort. They're ALL sucking right now, and that includes Vick. He's crapping the bed as often as the O-line, Andy and the defense.

Sorry, that's just the truth, and it's not a surprise. Mike has NEVER been a good qb. In the old days, his athleticism could cover a lot of it. No more. Plus, his ONLY good years in Atlanta were in a VERY heavy "run 1st" offense. Mike's never had the skills to be a qb in Andy's pass happy offenses. Less so now then ever. His few good games here ALL were just a product of D's not being ready for him to try to stay in the pocket. Since they've had film of the "new Mike", he's basically had very few bright moments here.

I think the real problem as far as film analysis goes is that you guys rely on a bunch of beat writers with free subscriptions to NFL.com to break down film. There are people who actually know what they are talking about. Baldinger isn't perfect but I'd take him over anybody mentioned in this thread so far.

Well, when you watch an actual Quarterback play, he identifies when that overload is coming and pulls one of his backs and/or TE into the backfield to pick up the blitz. That is Vick's problem, he has no clue how to identify pressure pre-snap and adjust his protection accordingly.

I like how everyone wants to put all the blame on the line and say that no QB could play well behind it, then you watch a Bears game and see Cutler have just as bad of protection and somehow he gets the job done.

My aching arse. . .Vick is leaving plays all over the field.  He's running out of big clean pockets when there is no pressure.  Yes he's been getting hit early and often and I commend him for his heart and courage but he is TERRIBLE at recognizing the blitz and even worse at audibling a hot route.  Heart and courage doesn't make him throw the ball any better either. . .

The ALL 22 has and continues to show this. . .

Look at the first 1. . .Maclin WIDE the F open with no one around him.  Take the easy stuff and put your ego in your pocket MV7. . .

2nd one. . .why the hell is he dropped back that far?  There is a pocket there but he dropped so far back it makes the DE's job a whole lot easier.

3rd from the article. . .anyone with any football IQ knows you should throw AWAY from the blitz there.  D Johnson (or DJax) is open if he throws to the middle of the field and leads his WR.  Easy pass but that would require him reading the defense.

4th one. . .terrible blocking on the shovel pass but everyone knew it was coming anyway.  not his fault there.

Look at the ALL 22 over the past few games and you'll see what I am talking about. . .it isn't like every play he's under pressure.  Granted many times he is but that makes it that much more important for him to hit on the plays where he has the time.
