There was a lot of hype when Mudd agreed to return to coaching, his first year with the team he was creditied for the team pass protection success , allowing 17 fewer sacks than the previous year. But what has happened since then? Like Vick, I believe Mudd is another "One year Wonder" who should be fired, thanks to the lackluster performance of both the starting and reserve linemen. Once again, the Linemen chosen to run Mudd's system, are vastly undersized. You need to have athleticism as an offensive lineman, but you need size and strength too. Where is Jamal Jackson when you need him? McCoy and Vick are getting mutiliated and change is needed ASAP. Where is the urgency?

Marty's offense is still dead last in the league in scoring. Why is he still here? Yards mean nothing if you cannot put points on the board! When in doubt, you run McCoy or feed Desean - Marty! You dont have to be a genius to know this! Feed your Playmakers!

Zordich should have been gone last year - he was a horrible player, and an even worst coach. One of the most talented positions on this team in terms of depth - and these guys are constantly out of position. I still have fatih that DRC and Nnamadi
are Elite corners - but Allen? Coleman? Anderson? SIms? No these guys are reserves AT BEST.

Pederson was a joke as a QB, and how Mike has regressed reflects this. Your better off with a Jeff Garcia coaching QB's than this clown.

Andy, you can still suck up your pride. Bring Juan back to replace Mudd. Lets see what Ted Williams can do calling the plays. Let April coach the secondary - anything is better than what we have...

First off how do you leave Washburn out? He said himself if THIS D-LINE doesnt do better than last year he should be fired.

Back to topic...

Im not completely sold on Mudd. I think alot of the credit should go to that P.Manning guy. J.Saturday was an elite center, so Ill give Howard that. If you swapped Howard Mudd with Juan Castillo a couple years back, maybe Castillo would have been as highly praised as Mudd. Another reason why I think the QB should take more blame than you Vick'sters wanna give out. Another reason why I FIRMLY believe if we had a truly elite QB running this offense, not only would he make the O-Line look better, he would make the entire offense look better.

Look at T.Brady for example. He makes it happen with what USED to be no names and throw aways. Wes Welker was no-one till he came to N.E. T.Brady MADE D. Branch. Then he went elsewhere and did what? Yea, nothing. Then came back and was more productive than he was with Seattle (I think is where he went). I give alot of credit to their coach for scheming and gameplanning. T. Brady is a winner and will go down as one of the best if not THE best QB ever. All he needs is 1 more SB/SB MVP to solidify that.

every area of this team is struggling in some capacity or another, there is no doubt about that, but I'm finding more reasons to blame Vick less because of the horrible offensive line. That being said, I'm not ready to fire Mudd, or any coach, because we are missing several starters. I would certainly like to see better play from the line, and you can blame it partially on coaching, but as a manager myself, I don't go looking to fire employees at will because of bad performance. I try to help them grow first, and from a football perspective I don't think any of the coaches should be fired mid-season.

I dont want to fire anyone mid season first and formost. When your team sucks theres a flaw(s) in your system. We have injuries yes, bad teams use that as a crutch. Good teams find a way to win. B.Belichick had a WR playing DB on a playoff team due to injuries. Our coaching is weak across the board. Injuries or not thats why back ups get paid and are on the team as well. Steelers have a depleted O-Line and there not terrible on offense. Giants have had ALOT of injuries the last couple of years and there always in the hunt. If we are getting Mudd players and this is the result then Im pointing the finger right back at Mudd and staff. Whats happening is inexcusable and pathetic for any Professional Organization. Like I said above. P.Manning deserves some credit for Mudds success, yes? Im not sold on Mudd or his idea of great offensive linemen. If he was great at coaching O-Linemen we would have a great O-Line. Both starting and back-ups. We should be an O-Line factory if you will. This is utter garbage!

Only 8 more games and it's over.  Lurie will clean house.  Everyone gets fired...then it's all forever in the rear view mirror.

They're all gone when Reid is shown the door at season's end.

Add Culley to that list of coaches I can't wait to finally see gone.

Juan will not be unemployed for long, he will coach an OL again, if not here then somewhere else.  The biggest problem with the entire staff is the inability or unwillingness to evolve or modify their approach to suit the circumstances.

I remember an interview with Gruden in 2002, after we beat Tampa in the regular season, he watched the film after the game and said "I know what they are doing....they won't beat us again" and he made adjustments

the first SB (giants vs pats)...giants were rushing 5 every play...Bill B and Brady adjusted the offense on the fly and started moving the ball..yes they lost, but could have easily won if not for one ridiculous helmet reception.

So far I see nothing that indicates any modifications by this coaching staff when things aren't working.

With the exception of RB coach Ted Williams I now firmly believe we should completely clean house and get rid of this entire coaching staff from top to bottom. If the new coach wants to keep Ted Williams on his staff fine, but anyone else should respectfully be thanked for their service and then shown the door.

When a fairly talented team plays this poorly in ALL phases, when there is not a single element of the team you can point to and hang your hat on, then the time for change has arrived. We need a disciplinarian, hard nosed type of coach who will come in and demand excellence, instill the fear of losing your job if you don't perform and just completely change the culture of this team.

I'll root for a less talented team that loses but puts forth maximum effort every week versus this group of overpaid underachievers.
