Do Eagles fans not think before they post?
Do they just not know football?
are they going through some kinda stress disorder that causes them to think irrationally?
Part 1
Coaches- F Gruden and F Cowher ...Gruden won with dungys players and if he woulda played any other team in the super bowl who knows what woulda happened but he knew the Raiders system front and back. Cowher won an ugly super bowl helped by penaltys and arguably shoulda been beaten by the colts in the divisional round + it took him 14 years
I want a coach who has something to prove, and not a guy who took a few years off and has that coaching itch again. I'm not naming names but i'd take a look at all the top YOUNG O and D coordinators and possibly the Oregon head coach
Part 2
There are a million threads and the combination of Vick, Foles, and the O-line...My take on it is the O-line is obviously at fault BUT Vick is not a QB who should be in our future. Rewind to 2011 when the o-line was half decent AND we even had a running game, Vick was still a turnover machine.
Best option is to get Foles a couple starts at the end of the season. This gives him some game experience and if he does half decent then you name him the starter for next season and bring in a vet QB just in case. (unless a miracle happens and Vick leads them on a long winning streak and they are in playoff contention)
Bottom line is BOTH the O-Line and Vick are at fault...whats better taking a sack or forcing a ball into triple coverage? When you do that things like that pick 6 happen because the ball wasn't totally accurate.
Part 3
A lot of people are hating on our WR's. The only reason i laugh is anyone who is old enough to remember 1998-2003 and then 2nd half of 2005-08 or 09 should know that this is the best WR Core we have had by far. Desean Jackson is NOT half the head case that Owens was, but he still gets bashed...Are Eagles fans just pu$$ys and want a choir boy at WR?
Maclin gets called soft all the time for no apparent reason, he made a nice catch monday night and took a big hit. His down year is a product of a bad o-line and bad QB play. Luckily for most of us, the front office isn't dumb enough to get rid of him
Avant is a solid #3 guy, kinda has that Antonio Freemen feel (while he was with packers)
Part 4
Some idiots out there suggested this team is at least 3 years away even with a new coaching regime. Because of that they suggested that we trade our best player Lesean McCoy...UGH!!! if you truly think that, its a shame your mother didn't have an abortion.
McCoy is a barry sanders behind a bad O-line running for his life, that run vs the saints on 4th down was insane, he coulda been tackled for a 4 yard loss but he made 5-6 guys miss and almost scored.
Behind a GOOD O-line this guy is a top 3 RB, and a possible HOF'er if he stays healthy
Part 5
Finally there are people who are posting that they don't actually think that Reid and Vick will be gone. The only thing that is going to save either of their jobs is a trip to the play offs AND at least 1 play off win. Reid is def a goner if he doesn't make playoffs and Vick is likely a goner because his contract kicks in after this season, and why pay a guy that much $$$ when you have a potential good QB on the roster already?
Lurie won't use any excuses and keep Reid if he doesn't make the play offs, he doesn't want to look as a soft guy who second guesses himself
