That's the point though. Much of that rivalry has been when both teams were bad. Ask fans over the years which rivalry game they'd like to watch, aside from their own rivalries, I doubt very many would have picked Falcons/Saints.
I honestly had no idea it was ever a rivalry before the two teams got good a few years ago. My only memory of that division is how the 49ers urinated all over it throughout the 80's and 90's.

It's amazing how clueless some of these players can be sometimes. I know some of the rules can get pretty crazy, but the tie game/overtime rule is about as basic as it gets. Ask a 6 year old what happens when the game is still tied at the end of overtime and they could tell you the correct outcome with relative ease.
