BG, agreed. The franchise may be able to find an efficacious HC. I just don't want to spend another 20 years looking for the next "good" coach. They have a great coach now. He cant help 4 starting OLine players being hurt. The backups are backups for a reason. After Vermeil, I watched for nearly 20 years of mediocre to bad coaches. I can't even list them all. Kotite was the worst, but Ray Rhodes, Buddy Ryan, etc NEVER produced a team that went anywhere in the playoffs. I was not a proud Eagles fan as they teetered on the BOTTOM of the NFC EAST year after year. Nonetheless, I was still a fan, although suffering. We ans are spoiled now because AR has put a contender on the field for years. I dont know how old you are, but I remember vividly nearly 20 years of crappy to subpar teams. I sure don't want to go back to that. I just want the owner to make a wise decision based on facts at hand and NOT based on an support or lack thereof.

Take it from a guy whose been an Eagles fan for over 50 years, Reid needs to go, the sooner the better.  Almost anyone would be better than him, at this stage.  I think the players want him replaced, they can't say so, but I think they do.

I get getting the feeling that all is not well in the locker room.

Is it Vick's big contract along with all his turnovers?
Is it resentment towards Andy?
Was making Juan a DC a problem?
I just know that this team has lost it's heart.
I, like jacka123, have been there also. It wasn't pretty.

Kurt Coleman might be the worst starting safety in the entire NFL. He covers no one, tackles no one, and is undersized. Nate Allen is solid, but you can't have solid and suck as your 2 safeties. Solid/Solid would be good. Solid/Above Average would be awesome. Coleman suks.

BG, I think the stability Andy brought us for over a decade will be missed and the unknowns of a new coach are what worries us but it has to be done at this point.

We? We are fans. We are not part of this team. Unless you are an owner, coach or member of this team, you are not a "we" of the team. Just needed to clarify. The Eagles are not real good. We as fans, do not suck.....well some of "we" do.
