updated again.  Atlanta clinches the South; Green Bay and Chicago swap seeds yet again; and the last wildcard spot is still pretty wide open.

Giants can all but clinch the East tonight...Not sure how I feel about the North as of yet because it looks like the Giants will host the division loser..I'd rather see the Bears in Jersey in January than host the Packers...Does anyone else feel SF can get picked off early much like Atlanta in the playoffs?

I just hope the skins dont come out and lay an egg...at least make it hard on the Giants.

There's no way the Skins lay an egg. This game is going to be a battle.

I also think the Eagles game is going to be difficult for the Giants as well, despite the fact that they stink.

Expecting a battle tonight as well..KP made the trip so I hope he plays..Is JPP's back gonna be an issue tonight?
I also expect a win, period. Coughlin said on multiple occasions that this is THE biggest game to date this year, so I am sure he has the team's ear...

Unfortunately, I can easily see the E's putting up a fight in Week 17 like last night..

Updated standings.  Eagles & Panthers both eliminated despite winning this week.  Cardinals also out after their 9th straight loss.  Lions could also still be eliminated if they lose (still the 3rd q as i write this).  If the Packers lose they will fall to the #4 seed behind the Giants.

Potential first round matchups would be pretty fun to watch. Bears/Packers and Seahawks/Giants. I don't know if it will end up that way though because the Bears look bad right now.

Can St. Louis legit get back into the wild card hunt if they keep on this streak? Where the hell have they come from?

Nobody ever talks about them for some reason. Probably because most people in St.Louis are Chiefs and Bears fans.

They were left for dead when they were 3-6-1. Now that they are 6-6-1 and are 1.5 games back of the #6 seed people wanna give them some love

wow... what a shakeup in the NFC.  Chicago out, Minnesota in for the last wildcard.  And the WASHINGTON REDSKINS??? can you beleive THAT?

Also looks like the 49ers will clinch a playoff spot as they are handing it to the Pats.

updated with week 16 clinching / elimination scenarios.  there's still so much up for grabs in the NFC with 8 teams trying to get the last 3 playoff spots.  it should be a really fun weekend to watch.

Kinda crazy that the Giants can actually be eliminated this week. It's not even too far fetched of a scenario either. Ish changes quickly in this league.

NFC EAST update.
The Redskins win the division with a win OR a tie and 1 Giants loss.
The Giants can still win the division with 2 wins and a DC-Dallas tie (good luck)
The Cowboys win a 9-7 4-2 tiebreaker over DC based on common games (Dallas is 0-2 in uncommon games, DC is 1-1) 9-5 to 8-6

Bears actually have a legit shot at the last WC. Green Bay will be playing their starters against the Vikings because the #2 seed is still on the line for them. The Bears get to play the lowly Lions.

NYG pretty much needs a miracle to get in.

Yep, Bears lucked out, and so did San Fran. That win over NE was huge. They get to finish at home against the Cards. They may not get a bye, but they look to be in good shape for the division and a home wildcard game.

Giants need three teams to ALL lose while they need to win against the Eagles. It would indeed take a miracle! If one of those teams win, then the Giants are out of the playoffs!
