If Bell is on the roster come spring oh my.  One or more backup Linebackers?  Presuming Andy is no longer in charge I expect Vick will be gone and I'm sure there'll be more.

Cromartie is going bye-bye.  Herremans is gone.  Maclin will not be resigned.

I don't know why people are running Nnamdi out of town. Babin and Vick definitely.  Coleman? Allen? Jenkins?

Yeah I am sure 95% of the starting roster will be released. I mean it happens all the time, doesn't it?

Really the main players that will be gone as soon as the season ends will be Vick, Bell, and Babin. The rest will likely be up to the new coaching staff.

Realistically, I think Vick goes for sure. Aso if he does not restructure, Babin if they can get something in a trade.

Dunlap will stay for depth, which is not saying much, but Bell is gone.

Alot depends on how the draft shakes out, if they get a safety, Sims is gone and Coleman becomes a back up.

Hard to turn over half your roster, so I dont think they go nuts.

Vick, Aso, Babin, Bell.  And Peters if not healthy, but cutting Vick and Aso sure helps the cap situation.

It all depends on free agency and the draft.  You don't cut aso unless u have a better replacement.  Vick is gone unless foles collapses somehow and babin/bell are out as well.  Coleman will still be here but as a backup.

Vick, Babin, Tapp, Nnamdi unless he takes a pay cut because he sure as hell IS NOT earning those phat stacks, Maybe Maclin, Bell, Dumlap, possibly Watkins...

I can't think of anyone else. The entire team pisses me off and frankly I could care less as long as Shady and Peters stays.

I hope all of them except:

Ryans
Kendricks
McCoy
Jackson (unfortunatly)
Havili
Cox
Graham

I think Cole will probably be back because he's at least a true Eagle, even though he isnt doing **** this year.  Other possibles include Maclin, Allen, and maybe Celek.

All gone:
Vick, Babin, Nnamdi, DRC, Coleman, Jenkins, the entire offensive line that started yesterday (except Mathis) he'll be better with Peters beside him.

I think Watkins will be back at the very least I hope they move Todd to RG and Watkins can be a backup guy on the line.

Anyhow remember how bad Peters was his first year here?  He couldnt block anyone, always seem to get called for false starts yet somehow he was an all pro that year.

Not that I think Bell will turn into anything because at least with Peters in his first year here you seen flashes of his ability I just think he was having troubles with the blocking schemes.  Bell just cant block anyone in straight up pass protection against an end coming right at him.  Forget about a stunt or blitzer.

I think either Nnamdi or DRC is gone, but not both. Is DRC a UFA this coming year or the next? If his contract is up after this year, it doesn't make sense to bring him back, he's simply not good enough to sign long term. Nnamdi is probably untradeable because of his contract, so I think he is back next year. In addition to that, they need two new starting safeties. The defense is probably a two year fix.

With the roster as it is currently, i think the better question would have been "What players do you keep". That is a much smaller quantity than "What players are gone".

I personally think there are only about 15-20 players who id keep if it were manageable to complete a build during the draft / off-season. (not meaning go sign every top tier players)

what you think?
I see what you're getting at here, but I think the paradigm is different.  Shouldn't just be if the players' play has been good enough to stay.  It should be, "is this player more valuable to the team on the roster, or is the compensation we could receive for him more valuable than the player?  Case in point- Shady.  Young back, maybe best in the league, manageable contract.  Could lead to great compensation.  IF you decide that you get 80% of what you get from shady from the combination of Dion Lewis and Bryce Brown, then perhaps 2 1sts or a 1st and a second means you make the move.  That same analysis needs to be done for every player on the roster.  Nobody is safe from this calculation, right down the line.  I know the thought of trading shady is crazy, but think of it this way:  Which would have served this team better this year?  Shady running behind this bs offensive line, or BB/Lewis/Polk running behind a first round RT and a second round RG, who should still be an above average player, drafting for the interior OL in the second round.  Hard decisions, but necessary ones.  My offseason would go like this (and windows 8 wont allow enters so I apologize for the block of text, can't be helped).   First, I'd get rid of Mudd's scheme and the W9 and the gimmick one-dimensional players that go with them.  Babin is gone for the highest bidder, or cut.  Small OL who don't understand the system and can't get a push- gone.  Then, you identify the people who have topped out and could bring SOME compensation, albeit not much.  Guys like Chaney, Tapp, Coleman, maybe even Watkins, and get late picks if you can, OL depth if you can, otherwise you're looking at cuts.  Renegotiate, if possible, with maclin, asomugha, DRC, and Vick, come into the draft with as many picks as you can, take BPA and pray that you hit.  The future of this team will be won or lost in the next 2 Aprils.  Why keep Vick?  Depth, if nothing else. The guy will know that he won't get as much on the open market and has incentive to renegotiate.  It's a weak QB draft, and even if there was a guy we loved, putting him behind this OL would be murder anyway.  I say keep Vick/Foles for the next season or so while we fix the OL, add a third LB, S, etc.  Once the OL is stout again, you pick your horse and go all in on a QB, pray for a franchise guy.  Whether that's Foles or a draft.  If we came out of this offseason with RT, RG, S, LB, and a Julio Jones type WR, I would be ecstatic.  Look at what the addition of Julio Jones has done for the Falcons. That's the luxury, the others are musts.

thing is in todays nfl you can make huge turnarounds in one year. not like before with 5 years plans and such.

i think this team is still pretty darn talented and with the right approach could go a long way. i heard one analyse say we are two offensive tackles and a coach away from contending. well actually i added the coaching part

Maclin is such a weird player.  I don't think anyone would claim he's having a good year.  Yet here he is on pace for 70 catches, 900 yards, and 8 TDs.

I get the feeling that if you put him on a team with an accurate pocket QB, he could put up some ridiculous numbers.  With that said, he's been very disappointing to me.  When we were able to draft him, I thought we had struck gold.  In college the guy was a big play machine.  He would bust off huge TDs every game, and was probably the most explosive player in CFB.  In the NFL, he seems more like a finesse possession receiver.  By that, I mean, he isn't a guy you run deep every play, and he also isn't a guy you have running slants.  You need him running intermediate routes and a QB that will hit him when he makes his breaks.

As for who I would keep going forward:

QB - Foles
RB - McCoy, Brown
WR - Jackson, Maclin (short leash), Cooper (camp decision), Johnson (camp decision)
TE - Celek, Harbor (camp decision)
OL - Peters, Herremans, Kelce

DE - Cole (I think he's just having an off season - it happens), Graham, Curry
DT - Cox
LB - Ryans, Kendricks
CB - DRC, Boykin, Marsh (camp decision)
S - Allen, Coleman

We need a lot of new players.

These players IMO should be 100% safe for the 2013 NFL Season

Lesean McCoy
Nick Foles  (not saying as a starter or anything, just he should be here 100% for sure in 2013 IMO)
Todd Herremans (sp?)
Trent Cole  (hes been great his entire career, hes just having a bad year this yr like everyones else on this roster)
Fletcher Cox
Demeco Ryans
Mychal Kendricks
brandon graham  9he might be showing signs of putting it toghter now)
Alex Henery-- is has been great in his 2 seasons here IMO. Kickers are hard to find and hes very accurate and young/cheap
DRC
Jeremy Maclin
Djax-- cause of the contract he just got, would kill us to eat it right now

these should be back 100% in 2013

Maclin would be the first one to get released. If Foles proves he's good enough to be the QB going into next season then I think we draft a WR in the first round ( a big physical WR) to put next to Jackson.

This is overkill in my opinion.  Yes the team needs to be blown up and rebuilt.  But a new GM, head coach and coaching staff, and restructuring/cutting some overpaid/underperforming vets (Vick, Asomugha, Babin, Bell, etc.) is probably plenty.  You can't replace 53 players in one offseason.
