That being said, Vick has handled himself with class since joining the team. I think Michael Vick the man has made significant strides and has been a model of behavior for ex-cons.

He sat in prison and lost it all.. Then became a model citzen and earned another contract. Plus, I don't know if that 100 mil is worth the beating he took playing behind this line.

Usually folks change for the worse when they get paid that kind of money (See Young Vick). The older, humbled Vick came back with much respect to himself and the game...

Some people go their whole lives and never get 'it', and that's a real shame. It might have taken Vick 30 years and some terrible choices, but he deserves credit for handling himself well and growing as a person in the aftermath of the dog-fighting/gambling deal. Better late rather than never...

But I agree Mike has been a model citizen and a solid team mate since being here. You have to admire him for that.
A lot ( i believe) of that had to do with Andy having an empathy connection (dealing with his own family issues).
How he would have faired under another coach, on another team is, and always will be an unknown.

Vick made a hell of a mistake. He paid his debts to society. He has worked his butt off to get back to where he is at. He always gives it everything he has out on the field. He has played with heart every game even when it looks like the rest of the team around him has given up.
Say what you want about his ability as a player, but he has turned his life around and I respect that. Best of luck to him in his future. I'll be pulling for him to succeed wherever he goes (minus the NFC East)

I think he still would have been ok, cause he still would have had Dungy with him and I doubt Dungy would let him go to a team that would hinder his progress
