King Dunlap was pretty bad until this year. All he is now is "serviceable" still sucks but at least improved a bit. He can bend his knees a little bit now to deal with those low speed rushers....
But yea Bell is pretty effin bad...
Its like they say, no wonder Karl Malone wanted nothing to do with him.....

Honestly we have more pressing needs on defense. Nnamdi won't be here next year, DRC leaves a lot to be desired, and neither Boykin or Marsh are starting corners in this league. Boykin may develop into one down the road, but Marsh is a back up caliber corner at best. At safety, Allen is okay, Coleman isn't a starter, and many of our backups don't even belong in the league. At LB, we need a will, or a SAM if Kendricks moves over to Will, which he's more suited for in my opinion. Our starting DEs are getting up there also. Babin has only been effective in the wide 9, and he wasn't even effective in it this year, and Cole, well, maybe he had a bad year because the entire defense is had a bad year, or maybe he's getting old. It's only one sub-par year, with sub-par defensive coaching, so there's a good chance he still has something left. We've got Graham, Tapp, Hunt, and Curry, hopefully someone with step up and become something. As far as the tackles go, Cullen is outta here; Patterson can't be counted on, so maybe he's also gone. We've got fletcher, Thorton and Landri, but we need to bring in some other tackles to compete with them.

I also agree with the post above mine that says this team needs to think defensively in the next draft. When healthy this offensive line isn't bad. We just need more depth lineman who can step in and be servicable.

He's playing because there is nobody else, plain and simple. And there is a lineman who is worse, Dennis Kelly. How the fark is that stiff in the nfl!?!?!?? I love his "OLE" blocking style. He's the definition of turnstile.

Pass protecting on the edge doesn't rely on scheme. You have one job-- block the guy in front of you. Keep him from getting to the QB. And Bell has been failing miserably at that.
Even if Mudd teaches different pass pro technique than the rest of the league-- how long has Bell been doing this? You'd think at this point he'd just do whatever he needed to do to block his man. And yet, he sucks.
At a certain point, it isn't scheme. You just suck.

There seems to be a lot of evidence that the Eagles' coaches (or scheme) is the problem. For example, Watkins was a pretty highly regarded prospect, now he sucks. Bell was the best free agent tackle, now he sucks. Meanwhile, Justice and McGlynn both sucked while here, and now they are pretty good. AQ Shipley has played a decent amount, and certainly has done better than Dallas Reynolds.

Everyone thinks that once Lurie cleans house all our problems are solved...sorry to break it to you folks, but with Roseman locked in for another 4 years it's only going to get uglier...

I am not depressed enough about this season, now someone has to drop Jeremy Bloom references to make me feel even worse about being an Eagles fan? Thanks for that, what a blast from the past.

You think we hit rock bottom yet? Not a chance, give Roseman another 2 years and you will see what rock bottom really is.

What would you suggest he should have done instead when our all-pro LT went down several weeks into free agency? Should we have traded 3 first rounders to move up and get Kalil? Or did you have a better suggestion for finding an adequate LT at that point in time?
