Take it for what it's worth. A quick bio search shows this guy has some credentials. I'm inclined to buy this.

Well there ya go TATERs... You got your wish. FOLEZZZZZ FOR SUPER BOWLZZZZZ!

One can only hope...

The Fat Man realized his only chance to save his job was the playoffs. Now, I think he sees a sliver of hope. If he can pull his ridiculous AR crap of reeling off a bunch of meaningless wins to end the season AND Foles looks good doing it... I'd think he could still lobby to keep his job to Lurie.

One could only hope in that situation Lurie has the balls to be true to his word.

Captain obvious.  I said Ried would do this about 3-4 weeks ago.  I didnt think it would be this soon, 9 games into the season but I figured at least by game 12 or 13.

Mark my words Reid will be our coach in 2013.  He's got the whole line excuse, and now Foles.

He's got a concussion, what does Reid have to do with that? This is Reids call? "Hey Ernie, give Mike a concussion would you?"

Jesus.

It's a blogger speculating based on an anonymous source who is "99% sure" about what's going to happen.
Sounds legit to me.

I don't buy this source, but the concept makes sense.  The Eagles have nothing to lose this season with Foles going in now.  I don't think we have a team that can make the playoffs or even win half our games left in the season.  Cut/trade Vick.  Cut Asomugha.  Draft the O-line and start over next year

Although it may not be a reliable source, I see this happening. I think Vick's concussion is going to sideline him for at least 2-3 weeks and by then it will meaningless for him to come in.....especially depending on how Foles plays in those 2-3 weeks.

Foles will be our starter against WASH and CAR.....Vick is done IMO.

Let's hope Lurie is a little smarter than that. Foles being a rookie is no excuse for everything else going wrong before Foles even took a snap.

I'm not buying this at all. That blog or report is a shot in the dark. Given the overall circumstances with the team, this is an easy thing to do. When Vick is ready, he'll be back at QB. Reid will die with Vick. The only way Foles stays is if he show a tremendous and I mean a tremendous performance against Washington. He has to win the game and be a big part in the win, he can't just manage the game.

We'll see but I'm not holding my breath. We should ALL know better by now.

I'm glad the OP cited the "source" in the title to be realistic, take it for what it is.

It is however being speculated on Yahoo Sports and NFL.com as the person above linked to.  So people are talking.  We've all seen this coming.

I just hope Reid still gets fired, or he resigns to save them the trouble.  He sees it, he has to.  He has to know it's over.  Even if the team were doing well, he just needs a break.

So Dan Hanzus, from California, says that Jason Cole, from Florida, says that Foles will start.  Cole was the original reporter.

What exactly was your point?

I'm saying I'd put more stock into this if McClain or Frank, or 97.5 was reporting it, not whoever this guy is.  And even then, I wouldn't put too much stock in it.

So i guess that makes him the new Clay Matthews. How long do you think it'll be until Foles gets hurt?

 I'm fairly certain we can stop all comparisons to Clay right there...

If the command of the line he showed late in the game Sunday is any indication, he might actually make it to the end of the year. But if that was more desperation than composure, then they might be signing Kafka back before the season is over.

They'll be doing that anyway, if/when they put Vick on IR. I'm thinking the over/under for Foles missing time is around week 15.

Hopefully King Dunlap keeps punching DEs in the helmet so they cant see where they're going around the edge.

Saying Vick is done for the year makes sense. Had Vick played well this year then you could say when Vick is healthy he should start but he hasn't played well and with 6 losses our playoff chances are slim anyway so it's not like we can afford to lose another game. Either Foles will play well and we go with him as our starter in 2013 or he doesn't play well and we get a high draft pick and use it on a QB or decide if Vick can turn things around in 2013 and keep him as our starter.

FIFY.

No way Vick is back if we miss the playoffs. Andy would be fired, and there is NO WAY the new regime keeps him and his ridiculous contract as their franchise QB. He'd have to restructure to return to Philly, and he won't. We'll have to buy him out.

Nnamdi is in the same boat I believe.

Foles took a beating behind a bad Arizona line.  He is not injury prone like those who came before him.

Yardbarker is what it is. We all know it's only slightly less credible that Bleacher Report. But a couple reporters who are actually employed by major sites have reported it, so this COULD have legs. Certainly, common sense wise, it's very plausible.

I just PRAY we do not make some noise down the stretch and just barely miss the playoffs again this year. Andy is a great coach, but he is clearly emotionally worn out and has lost his edge in Philly. There's SOOO many holes to his teams-- ball security, no defensive swagger or even competence lately, special teams, sense of entitlement by players, flawed playcalling-- that we just NEED to start fresh. And everyone knows it.

If Lurie brings him back there may be riots in Philadelphia. :nonono:
