But do understand - This is Andy Reid's last season in Philadelphia, period! The only thing that saves his job is a Super Bowl appearance.

I just PRAY we do not make some noise down the stretch and just barely miss the playoffs again this year. Andy is a great coach, but he is clearly emotionally worn out and has lost his edge in Philly. There's SOOO many holes to his teams-- ball security, no defensive swagger or even competence lately, special teams, sense of entitlement by players, flawed playcalling-- that we just NEED to start fresh. And everyone knows it.
If Lurie brings him back there may be riots in Philadelphia.
So you don't want Foles to play well so we have to draft ones of the questionable QB's high in the draft? I hope we do play well the rest of the way and we see Foles can be a franchise QB.

It's true.
Pointing out that Vick wasn't doing a good job and probably wasn't going to help us win a Superbowl after starting the season 3-6 and having to play behind an O-Line made up of men who are actually pillows on stilts with human masks on can only mean one thing: bigotry.
FIGHT THE POWER!!

He's got a concussion, what does Reid have to do with that? This is Reids call? "Hey Ernie, give Mike a concussion would you?"

But I can't imagine Lurie risking a back lash of the fans, by sticking with Reid. Not seeing how out of patience they have become with this coaching staff. And also after saying, " he really had to think about whether to bring Andy back for this season." This season so far is worse.

Pocket passers seem to be the ones that get to the Super Bowl, and I think Nick is a LOT closer to that than Vick or Kolb or or Kaffka or even McNabb. Kolb's arm strength was always questionable... he's like a little better Kafka. Foles seems to have the tools to be a better passer than even McNabb was here. While Donny never threw very many picks due to his good judgment and had a rocket arm, his accuracy was always lacking. With tools that we have now that McNabb never had, Foles could come in and do great things very quickly.
If Foles does stink, then we need to look in a different direction. But we have so many other holes to fill on the OL and defensively next year, I'd really rather not use a draft pick on a QB. So of course I want him to do well. But NOT if it is at the expense of bringing back Big Red for another year.

I know Lurie said another playoff-less season is unacceptable, but I could see him reneging on that statement.

The Fat Man realized his only chance to save his job was the playoffs. Now, I think he sees a sliver of hope. If he can pull his ridiculous AR crap of reeling off a bunch of meaningless wins to end the season AND Foles looks good doing it... I'd think he could still lobby to keep his job to Lurie.
One could only hope in that situation Lurie has the balls to be true to his word.
Nope. AR is done after the season. In the unlikely event that we get to the SB, then Lurie will have to decide.. To me it is (and I hate this term) a no-brainer. It's not all AR's fault, but after 14 years, it really doesn't matter.
I think Lurie should go too. We need a new beginning. We have a good nucleus of payers to get the ball rolling.
