Don't be doomsday, people. We're good at that.

But do understand - This is Andy Reid's last season in Philadelphia, period! The only thing that saves his job is a Super Bowl appearance.

Yardbarker is what it is. We all know it's only slightly less credible that Bleacher Report. But a couple reporters who are actually employed by major sites have reported it, so this COULD have legs. Certainly, common sense wise, it's very plausible.

I just PRAY we do not make some noise down the stretch and just barely miss the playoffs again this year. Andy is a great coach, but he is clearly emotionally worn out and has lost his edge in Philly. There's SOOO many holes to his teams-- ball security, no defensive swagger or even competence lately, special teams, sense of entitlement by players, flawed playcalling-- that we just NEED to start fresh. And everyone knows it.

If Lurie brings him back there may be riots in Philadelphia. :nonono:

So you don't want Foles to play well so we have to draft ones of the questionable QB's high in the draft? I hope we do play well the rest of the way and we see Foles can be a franchise QB.

No reason to be a bigot.  The man suffered a concussion.  Show a little respect.

If Fowles playing well saves AR's job, then I want Fowles to fail.

Finally Foles will get his shot.  He should be the QB the rest of the year regardless to see what he can do.

I didn't know Foles and Bowles had a kid together who plays for the Eagles.

Take it for what it's worth. A quick bio search shows this guy has some credentials. I'm inclined to buy this.

according to you...not necessarily to lurie. If Foles shows great promise and the eagles make the playoffs or fall just short with yet another one of there december runs you think lurie will fire him? I don't. If the eagles went 9-7 or 10-6 and went on a late run with a rookie qb would reid even deserve to be fired? I don't think so. If Reid is fired do you think he will be out of a job long? I don't.

It's true.

Pointing out that Vick wasn't doing a good job and probably wasn't going to help us win a Superbowl after starting the season 3-6 and having to play behind an O-Line made up of men who are actually pillows on stilts with human masks on can only mean one thing:  bigotry.

FIGHT THE POWER!!

Jesus.
You have to consider the  maturity or intelligence level of some of these posters. Just because their mama calls them son/sun doesn't mean they are bright.

Depending on the severity of the concussion ,could result in season ending decision for Mike.

But I can't imagine Lurie risking a back lash of the fans, by sticking with Reid. Not  seeing how out of patience they have become with this coaching staff.  And also after saying, " he really had to think about whether to bring Andy back for this season." This season so far is worse.

Bleed, c_u answered your question. Of course I want Foles to succeed. He's got the size and kind of arm we haven't had on this team in a LONG time. His arm is comparable to McNabb's, and he's bigger than McNabb was. He's definitely not a mobile QB, but I'd wager my house (if I had one :D ) that he will be more accurate than Vick in the NFL.

Pocket passers seem to be the ones that get to the Super Bowl, and I think Nick is a LOT closer to that than Vick or Kolb or or Kaffka or even McNabb. Kolb's arm strength was always questionable... he's like a little better Kafka. Foles seems to have the tools to be a better passer than even McNabb was here. While Donny never threw very many picks due to his good judgment and had a rocket arm, his accuracy was always lacking. With tools that we have now that McNabb never had, Foles could come in and do great things very quickly.

If Foles does stink, then we need to look in a different direction. But we have so many other holes to fill on the OL and defensively next year, I'd really rather not use a draft pick on a QB. So of course I want him to do well. But NOT if it is at the expense of bringing back Big Red for another year.

I don't know to be honest-- just felt like going typical TATER on everyone. Of course I'm actually happy Foles is getting his shot.

We all called for Andy's head before this season, and he was back yet again, with Castillo at DC. The fact that Andy even had to leverage to make that move in the first place shows he was just a little TOO entrenched as HC here. He had enough power to make an absolutely re7arded move when picking a new DC and it backfired. He should've gone out and gotten the most qualified, best DC candidate he could find externally. But he chose to stay within house to fill the position. I think Andy is a little too set in his ways here, and I'm just terrified of that complacency coming back for another season should he finish strong this year.

I know Lurie said another playoff-less season is unacceptable, but I could see him reneging on that statement.

One can only hope...

The Fat Man realized his only chance to save his job was the playoffs. Now, I think he sees a sliver of hope. If he can pull his ridiculous AR crap of reeling off a bunch of meaningless wins to end the season AND Foles looks good doing it... I'd think he could still lobby to keep his job to Lurie.

One could only hope in that situation Lurie has the balls to be true to his word.

Nope. AR is done after the season.  In the unlikely event that we get to the SB, then Lurie  will have to decide.. To me it is (and I hate this term) a no-brainer.  It's not all AR's fault, but after 14 years, it really doesn't matter.

I think Lurie should go too.  We need a new beginning.  We have a good nucleus of payers to get the ball rolling.
