Is it 'great insight' or intuitively obvious that Reid won't be fired until the end of the season?. Yeah, both. It should be intuitively obvious that AR will be gone as soon as the season is over, That's a given. Andy is gone. Period. It's over. THE ONLY WAY THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN IS IF THE EAGLES GO TO THE SB... this year.
Andy is gone - toast - history. I'm not putting the total blame on Andy's shoulders but, his removal from the demise will be a catalyst for a new beginning. It has to happen. Lurie has to clean house with the coaching staff ... and some of the front office too. Howie? Yeah, well ... why not.
Exorcism is painful and ugly ... but for the Eagles, it is a reality check that has to happen.

As the artilce says, there are many variables that need to be taken into consideration when making that kind of move.
To the fans its the things we see. But to an owner it is much much more. Ramifications such a decision will have on the current players, and future players be it draft or F/A. Will players want to come here to play for a team that is starting over in rebuilding a new foundation and its reputation? That is likely to have a few down seasons before the chemistry and system are developed and matered. Not bloody likely.
Then is Marty any better at calling the plays than Andy or vise versa. No. they are two peas in a pod. Is there anyone else on the team that could act as interim coach? No! So whether fans like it or not. Lurie has no option but to keep Andy for the duration of the seaon.

I think as an owner, you would would care. If Reid had only been here for 2 or 3 years, and was stinking up the place, you cut drop him mid-season and slop through the rest of the year. This dude has been here since 1999...this is his team. Every awful part of it. And I don't think it benefits the players or the fans to have someone WORSE than Reid come in here and handle this slop. We're not the Dolphins or Raiders...we don't do interim coaches.
In summary, it's Reid's mess. He has the best handle on it (scary, I know). Let him coach it.

Just taking a wild stab that you are NOT a business owner ???
And you can bet your life that if Lurie had even the slightest thought that Reids tenure could be coming to an end that he started gathering a list a long time ago.
I would bet my houses that Lurie has had a short list for at least a couple of years now that is constantly getting updated.
What,,, you people think Lurie just woke up after game 4 or 5 or 6 and said,,, hmmmm.
I think I might have to make a change, let me start looking into this.
Good businessmen ALWAYS look a head. And Lurie is a good businessman.

Lets just hope SNOORDA never starts up a business, it'd be a total waste of time and money.

No. Most Eagles fans are smart enough to know what he meant to this franchise.

That seems pretty mature. That should really matter in life.
Geez, I never thought about that. Great idea.
Makes perfect sense.
Lets boo the greatest coach the Eagles ever had (SB era) who has had more success by a mile then any coach the Eagles have ever had and who after years of embarrassment helped bring class back to the organization.
Yep, lets boo the hell out of him.
Lets boo him because of all the money he gives to charities.
Lets boo him for all the time and effort he has given to the community.
Lets throw crap at him to.
Let him know how bad of a person he is.
I say tar and feather him. Shackle his arse. That will teach him.

I keep saying it. But how the hell can there be so much hatred for a person that for the most part nobody knows simply because he didn't win enough games. I don't get it.

So, we're left with a lame duck. We all get to watch a pitiful organization show it's loyalty to a pitiful coach in another pitiful season. But, we'll always have 2004 when they almost won it all.
The greatest coach in Eagles history to never win it all deserves to leave us with the same crap he found.
This is Philadelphia, we demand nothing less.

this is a sports franchise. The goal is to win championships. Fail repeatedly and show no inclination towards achieving the goal, and you must get the axe.
F what his personality is and what he's done off the field. you sound like an emotional teenage girl dealing with a bad breakup.
