Which QB's are projected to go in the 2nd or 3rd round in the 2013 draft? They're soon to be fan favorites.

Until Philly gets an elite qb who can CONSISTENTLY get the job done, the QB position will always be over scrutinized.

Hey, if the guy doesn't win he should be booted out of town. We've had enough years of underachievers at the QB position. For now, let they guy start one game before you start writing his obituary.

I don't think anyone is looking for Foles to be a savior ... we just want to see if he can handle being the guy, if he can improve upon his rookie mistakes.  No better time to do that than in the wasted second half of this season.

If we don't have at least two Lombardi's by next week, the kid is a failure. Bring on the next clipboard holder!

No one is writing his obituary. He's (rightfully) insulting the fans.

As soon as we draft any QB this year... We will hear TaTe/philly media put him as our next super bowl winning QB. Bank it!

Don't label all fans based on a few idiots.  True for just about any topic.

Fans will cheer for anyone performing well, and boo anyone not performing well. It's as simple as that.

He has nothing to worry about at this point.  He has a ton of excuses to go thru before he is considered a Bum.  It'll start with., he is a Rookie.  And that;'s good for at least a full season. Then we will go thru the other players around him are screwing up.  Then it's the new coach and the new system.  To many to list.  Only this time the excuses he get will be valid.   Nothing to worry about for at least a couple seasons.  ;)

Being a rookie isn't an excuse? You do realize most rookies suck, right? Go explain how Vick sucked last year behind a good O-line. And every other year in his career. But Vick just can't be a problem can he?

Sort of like he hasn't had a full offseason as a starter (good for TWO full seasons), there was a lockout, his offensive line stinks, his playcalling stinks, he got hurt in preseason and so he needs to knock the rust off, the turnovers are his receivers' fault, etc.?  ;)

Nick Foles won't be able to fully concentrate until the economy is fixed so he has about 5 years before people expect results.

If I was a betting man I'd say the starting 2013 QB for the Birds is not on the roster right now. I hope and wish well for Foles but my expectations are very low for him.

Any other team than the Eagles and the fanbase would be ecstatic to have Nick Foles. We are very lucky to have been able to snag this guy. Barring injury, he will be the best QB since Jurgensen. That doesn't mean that a moronic fanbase can't still make him want to flee at the first chance. They certainly have proved they have it in them.

It's has nothing to do with the fans anymore. It's about the offensive line. That line will ruin ANY rookie or veteran QB's career.

I bet you Vick's career is just about done because the offensive line is a pathetic, dreadful joke. Kolb was lucky to escape alive with this team.

You got all of this from the pre-season and the Dallas game. Man you my friend are a guru....

Know this, if the line does not shape up and soon we will be down to Trent Edwards very soon. After that we may be down to no QB... Thankfully the skin's pass rush is not that great (i mean this OL will make them look like superstars... so we will see)

Oh please!  Have you seen Geno play since the Baylor/Texas games (0 - 4)?  My son is a sr at WVU and I've seen them all.  Geno Smith IS NOT an NFL franchise QB.

Not true.   The Eagles Football experts say that all you have to do is read Defenses and get the ball out quickly and you'll win games,  and the QB will not get injured.  Foles can do these things and do them well.  So there is no problem with this O-Line.  Didn't youi watch the Dallas Cowgirls game? You don't know what you are taking about.  This is the same O-line he used during preseason and he did fine.  Stop being a Foles hater.  :nonono:

First, don't base your opinion of all Eagles fans based on this message board.  A small number of fans come to TATE and post idiotic ideas.  Most fans who do actually logon to a message board on a regular basis either lurk and don't post, or post in other forums on these boards and make fun of stupid people in TATE.  So not even the majority of fans on this message board feel the way some of the idiot TATERs do.

Second, most fans don't come to the message board at all and comment on other sites or just stick to sharing their opinions the old fashioned way.

Finally, even on this board most people are happy to have Foles on the roster.  Some extremists are either saying he is terrible or great, but most recognize the potential is there and want to see what the young rookie can do with time to develop.

Eagles fans don't run anyone out of town unless they have proven time and time again to either not give effort or don't give results.

People loved AJ Feeley for stepping in as the 3rd QB for McNabb and Detmer and handling it the way he did.  Fans were not happy to see him traded to Miami, they thought he should be the #2 behind McNabb.  Most fans didn't turn on McNabb until after the Superbowl, prior to that most people enjoyed the human highlight film and were excited about him and in fact complained that Reid didn't get him enough talent at WR and TE to help him become elite.
