If Foles Has a Monster Game....

What if Foles has some ridiculous game, or a hot streak of his own?
Like, say, Foles throws for 5 TD or 500 yards or something, or goes on a 3-4 game winning stread of his own.
Would Andy still lose his job? Or would they keep him to build around Foles?

I'd settle for Foles getting up to speed with starting, Eagles winning 3 or 4 games and beginning fresh next year with a new regime.
It's time.

Shouldn't affect Reid's status one bit.

No doubt man I've been saying it ever since the tater heads started hyping him up. Foles = Hoying....
I just hope the teams sucks it up massively over the next 7 that way we rule out any chance of the fat man and his sidekicks (Mudd, Washburn, and MM) coming back.

Even the Redskins defense (who have given up 2nd most fantasy points to QBs this season) will get 2 INTs against this guy.

Not saying Foles = Hoying. Just don't judge on 1 or 2 games. Hopefully he shows steady improvement over the next 7. Who knows?

Wow, you serious right now? From what Ive saw Vick is alot closer to Hoying than Foles.
In 2 seasons, 15 games appeared in, Hoying had 13 Fumbles and 15 INT's.
Does your head hurt during thought process?

Here is what I'm thinking (like anyone cares)
1- What Foles does in the regular season matters not as far as Reid keeping his job.
2- The Eagles making the playoffs would not afford Reid keeping his job.
***And yes, as bad as the entire NFL is, and as bad as the NFC East is and as weak of a schedule the Eagles have there is still that chance. Remote, but it still exists. However I still believe the Cowboys win the division at 8-8.
3 - The 1 and only way Reid stays for his final year is to get to the SB in my opinion.
And what are the chances the Eagles win the division at 8-8 ?? Almost impossible. But again, becuase of how bad the Giants and Cowboys are and their remaining schedules that possibility is there..................until they lose this week.
Just for some fun, here is what needs to happen for the Giants, Cowboys and Eagles to all finish 8-8 and give the Eagles a SLIGHT chance at the playoffs.
1- The Giants have to go 2-4 the rest of the way. And you say that won't happen ??? Take a look at their schedule. Which is the hardest remaining in the NFL.
PACKERS, @REDSKINS, SAINTS, @FALCONS, @RAVENS, EAGLES
If the Giants continue to play like they have they might go 1-5 let alone 2-4.
2- The Cowboys have to go 4-3 the rest of the way. And you say that won't happen ??? Again, take a look.
BROWNS, REDSKINS, EAGLES, @BENGALS, STEELERS, SAINTS, @REDSKINS
There is easily 3 losses in those 7 games.
3- The Eagles have to go 5-2 the rest of the way. And you say that won't happen ?? (ahhh, I agree). But take a look at what is 1 of the easiest remaining schedules in the NFL.
@REDSKINS, PANTHERS, @COWBOYS, BUCS, BENGALS, REDSKINS, @GIANTS.
Are there 5 wins in those games ?? In a normal Eagle season absolutely. But unless GOD comes down and plays for them I don't see it.
As a huge NFL fan, the sad thing is the league is soooo bad, it is possible.
Who has the hardest road to the NFC East title ??? I say the GIANTS,
Who has the easiest road to the NFC East title ?? I say the Cowboys.
Who has almost no shot ?? The Eagles and Redskins.
.
AGAIN, I WAS JUST DOING THIS FOR SOME FUN.

Please no. Andy Reid has been saved by Qbs for years and if the owner doesn't realize that., he deserves everything he gets. Andy Reid will destroy him the same way he did to the others. The only problem is Foles can't run away from trouble like the others and will probably be injured more than the others. Andy has to go no matter what.

Yes, if Foles wins out (or at least enough games) to get to the playoffs and then continues to impress I believe Reid will take credit (within the organization) and keep his job. But anything short of the playoffs no matter how Foles plays will read "Good-bye Andy!"
Considering the best record the Eagles can get at this point is 10-6, they will almost have to win out or lose no more than one game, so it's very highly unlikely they will make the playoffs. At this point, the best thing that can happen is Foles' improvement.

If Foles turns out to win however many games he is in to play. Bowels gets this defense back on track. Than I can see Lurie taking the same mind set, as he did this year, for next year.
Part of me wants them to win. Not for Andy's sake. But for Foles sake. But at the same time I want new blood in here at the key coaching positions.

But this team is in the middle of an insurgency -led by the fat man. Reid refuses to rule Vick out. I get the feeling that Foles having a great game is the last thing Reid wants. Perhaps Foles wasn't his pick, but was conceded as a free pick to someone with clout(Jeffrey? Howie?). I don't think Foles saving this team helps Andy or he'd have started 4 games ago. In his mind, Andy's already coaching in Cali. Andy's progress with this team is going south, fast. They're becoming better losers under him now. He's a cancer.
