I can't hit the like button, I agree that it can turn out that way.. Lets not forget the reason Lurie gave for retaining Andy for this season. Because he felt he gave the team the best chance to make it to the post season.

If Foles turns out to win however many games he is in to play. Bowels gets this defense back on track. Than I can see Lurie taking the same mind set, as he did this year, for next year.
Part of me wants them to win. Not for Andy's sake. But for Foles sake. But at the same time I want new blood in here at the key coaching positions.
My sentiments exactly. I want Foles to kick @$$ but thst would mean wins. Well perhaps maybe not. If the D continues to struggle, then the offense can still play well but lose. I think Foles is a confident player anyway so losing a few games that he wasnt the cause for wouldnt affect his playing ability. Idk, its a weird situation.

In the end it's very hard to win with a terrible OL and terrible production from your DEs

I expect Foles to learn from his mistakes and master the QB position. I see more reliable steadiness in his progress. He will win games, and that's most important with his decisions, understanding of the game, and thus leadership.

But this team is in the middle of an insurgency -led by the fat man. Reid refuses to rule Vick out. I get the feeling that Foles having a great game is the last thing Reid wants. Perhaps Foles wasn't his pick, but was conceded as a free pick to someone with clout(Jeffrey? Howie?). I don't think Foles saving this team helps Andy or he'd have started 4 games ago. In his mind, Andy's already coaching in Cali. Andy's progress with this team is going south, fast. They're becoming better losers under him now. He's a cancer.

sadly i have to agree with this. The qb change should have happened at halftime against the falcons (at the latest). If Foles does look impressive and we beat the redskins and are suddenly back in playoff contention, what will reid do? Will he ride the "hot hand" or give vick the keys back?

I'm sorry but what makes you so sure? People on these boards had just as much confidence in Kolb even though I didn't see it. I don't really know either way but my gut is telling me he's not an NFL star. I mean...people were even saying this about Kafka at one point.

It would be awesome if he was the next great QB and the Eagles won that lottery but I see no reason to believe that. He was barely noticeable in college.

The number of racist posts is amazing, hate whitey qb's much?

The kid shows more promise than any in recent history and all you can do is put him down, instead of support...

Go Eagles! Vick heal quick and complete, thanks for the effort! Go Foles!!!! ;)

People like to be optimistic. Really any QB not taken #1 overall generally has the odds against them and even those guys fail a lot so betting against Foles is probably going with the odds. That said he was highly thought of in college until his senior year when his OL was just flat out atrocious and his team wasn't very good either. If he was on a better team I think he'd have been a first round pick. He also broke Drew Brees high school records. There is talent there. We'll see.

I'm sorry. But please explain to me exactly what Kolb has to do with Foles. I don't get this comparison. It's about like me trying to compare Vick to McNabb.

Though by reading the forum, many would gladly redo the Lombardi-less decade with Donny at the helm. Maybe this town, this team, is striving for a more aesthetic approach to success. Sold-out stadiums are more important than winning SBs(or even winning at this point). If racially profiling a QB(which you already did by bringing Kolb into the conversation) is more essential to the financial success of the Eagles than winning, perhaps I need to assess what is most important to me from the football team I'm a fan of.

How bout this... lets us be hopeful he makes it out of this game alive.

This OL tends to try to get people killed.

I can not remember an OL letting so many people through untouched.

The Oline already did better when they knew the QB would be in the Pocket. I but the oline gets frustrated as hell with someone like Vick and never knowing where the hell he will be. They dont have eyes in the back of there heads so lay  off them . I bet they will be just fine during the redskins game , not perfect because of the startes lostg but 75^% better then if Vick as in .

Stop smoking crack! It is bad for you...

Even with the adjustments they made that week in practice Foles was getting hit and hit often. He was also hurried a lot. The O LINE sucks man. You are telling me it was Foles fault he got his rear end violated near the Goalline for the FF and Defensive TD? The O line had nothing to do with that right????

And that other play where they high/lowed him...  I thought they cut him in half.  Gotta give it to him - you gotta be tough to bounce right back up after that one.  Sorry that was the same play...

In all seriousness, he might have a very nice game on Sunday. The Skins' secondary is bad.

Hadn't even considered this until now...

What if Foles has some ridiculous game, or a hot streak of his own?

Like, say, Foles throws for 5 TD or 500 yards or something, or goes on a 3-4 game winning stread of his own.

Would Andy still lose his job?  Or would they keep him to build around Foles?
Easy tiger

Andy should lose his job unless they go undefeated the rest of the way. That's the bar I put on Reid. Anything short of that is just fool's gold and future frustration.
