One positive about Foles

Therefore, I think that starting Foles will have a positive impact on the rest of the team. After all, if Vick was unwilling to put in the extra hours, what message was that sending to the other guys on the team with a few less zeroes in their paycheck? Now with Foles playing, I am hoping his work ethic will send a message to the rest of the team, and perhaps the Eagles will stop playing such sloppy football.
Brady and Manning always had a reputation for putting in a lot of extra time to make their team better. I think this is somethig the Eagles had with McNabb, but lost with Vick. I have no idea why Reid didn't make him work harder, especially since it was his second chance, but I think the first half of the 2010 season made him think, if it ain't broke, why fix it? Well, it's broke, and hopefully Foles will be the start of putting the team back on the right track.
This season is lost, and it sucks having to wait until next September for the Eagles to play a meaningful game again. But I put the blame as much on the veteran leaders of the team as I do the coaches. Hopefully the change in administration will mean a new work ethic for this team which, based on the incredibly sloppy play it has exhibited the last two years, has been sorely lacking.

He's struggled these last two years because his in-pocket instincts aren't good enough, not because he didn't put in the time off the field.

That's what i heard. Now if we can stop the Vick Bashings and support the starting QB now. The other crap is not necessary. Afterall what good does it do?

Plus his height will help trying to throw over 6'9 inch waste of space King Dung -Lap.

Foles on the other hand already has great attributes that Vick didn't coming out of college, the biggest being 6' 5", allowing him to easily see over lineman. Being this tall also allows you to see everything sooner and deliver the ball faster without having a designed play to do so. Foles has some work to do and he is going to have his moments against the Skins but Foles has the potential to have a shot at being good if not great.
One thing that stood out to be like a soar thumb on Sunday was Foles walking around on the sideline giving "fives" to his lineman and offensive players. Seeing that at least gives you hope about him potenitally being good and gives us a better feeling as fans that he is going to give it 110% every practice and game.

Since Learn to Reid says we're all racist, I would say the 3rd bullet is the most promising of Nicks attributes.

That would have been my guess to your thread title prior to entering.
At a minimum, the game will not be boring with the Vick Lovers looking for any and all mistakes to blast him in the forums during and after the game. And all the anti-vick folks will be looking for any and all examples of Foles performing better in certain circumstances than Vick has.
It will not be boring around here, that is for sure.

It's not that I think Vick sucks (which if you do or don't, there are cases to be made either way,) it's that I am excited for a new era. The Eagles haven't had a QB under 30 start 16 games since 2003. That's a long time, and if Foles can stay healthy and make his teammates better, I'm excited to see the future of this team.
