Most Frustrating Andy Reid Moments

Mine was when we became fed up with a lack of playmaking at PR/KR and selected Jeremy Bloom. Yeah he was a skiier, and model, and just plain crappy. But it represented an acknowledgment that Reid wasn't "fine" with Reno Mahe.
So we drafted him, we kept him on the shelf for a year or so, and then we finally played him in preseason. And we didn't like him. So what does Reid do? Does he continue his new-found concern for PR/KR? Does he sign a punt return specialist to replace Bloom? Nah, he cuts Bloom and inserts Greg Lewis and/or J.R. Reed (no experience at PR/KR) a week before the regular season.
And their muffed punts and kickoffs cost them a winnable game vs. Green Bay. All because Andy, who was so concerned about PR/KR that he drafted a guy to do NOTHING BUT that, quickly decided that specialized skills for punts and kick returns were not necessary and that anyone could do it...a few days before our season began.
A week or so later, he brought back Mahe.

In the second half the Eagles started to make a comeback and tearing it up with the run, Duce and Buck were beast that day but Andy in his great wisdom decided to go back to passing the ball. I remember Runyan on the sideline yelling at Andy to go back to the run but it fell on deaf ears, here it is several years later with Andy Reid and we still don't run the football and our trophy case is still empty.

Another "we'll be fine there" moment.

Starting a punt returner the first game of the year after no practice.
Trading out of the first round more than once (OK, that was probably not Reid...)
Hiring an offensive line coach as the defensive coordinator.
Not finding a strong replacement for Dawkins.
Every time it took too long to get a play called.

When he made an Offensive Line Coach to DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR.
When he drafted a 28 year old Rookie fire fighter from Canada, who had very limited expeirence at LT then made him a RG.
When he called a Timeout on a play, then right after the Timeout, we have a Delay of Game penalty.
When he let go of BRIAN DAWKINS & replaced him with MACHO HARRIS, a 6rd CB from VTec, && what do you know, he switched him from CB to FS, SQUARE PEG, ROUND HOLE.
When he signed Demetris Bell
When he said we have to do a better job from 2005-2012.
When he started Winston Justice && gave him no help AT ALL vs Osi Urineyoura, who proceded to have 6 sacks himself on W.Justice.
When he drafted Jaiquan Jarrett in the 2d Round when he was projected as a 5th RD pick, he also compared him to Brian Dawkins, HA HA
When he drafted fast ball Bryan Smith, proceded to never take a snap in the NFL.
When he tried to replace McNabb with Kolb, that only lasted half a game before Andy bailed on him.
When he tried to make Michael Vick an under the center, pocket QB.
ETC.ETC.ETC.

the ball away thinking he could get it back, after Deuce McAllister and the other RB were just running over us all night.
Never did get the ball back and season over.

How many times have you yelled at the TV for the Eagles to run the ball?

Agreed. But the absolute best part about this is that we are having this play run against our defense at least once a game with regular success. I think we used to be one of the only few teams in the league to run it.

Another one way up there is the total mishandling of the T.O situation. Had they simply placated his ego a little we could have a had something really special. Having T.O changed the way Mcnabb played.
After seeing the longevity of guys like Peppers, Gonzalez, and Lewis, its clear that getting rid of Dawkins was incredibly stupid.
and finally my most frustrating Andy moment....Draft Day pick one....passing on Witten, passing on Earl Thomas, passing on JPP it goes on and on...once or twice is a fluke but every year is the definition of poor judge of talent...

2006 playoffs with Garcia vs. the Saints. Short yardage, Westbrook is on your roster and you throw a screen pass to Josh Parry for an incomplete pass. Punt on 4th down.
Calling a balanced offense for backup QBs when the starter gets hurt and having success, but going back to stubborn ways with the starter.
Yelling his head off at the defense for penalties in a preseason game, but not doing a thing about the turnovers and penalties from the offense.
Drafting Kolb with the first selection (2nd round) of a draft where we were in desperate need for several other positions.
Letting Trotter go which hurt in the 2002 NFCCG.
Running play action on 1st down when everyone and their mother knows he's passing.
Running gimmicky reverses and WR screens with the smallest guys on the roster (DeSean Jackson, Demaris Johnson, Pinkston, whoever) and getting them killed with a tackle in the backfield.
Declaring the WRs are fine, then trading for TO. Declaring he will not fire McDermott, then firing McDermott. Declaring Kolb is the starter and then declaring Vick the starter the day after.
Square pegs/round holes: DEs turned into LBs, DTs turned into FBs, WRs/FSs turned into PR/KR with no prep, and reaching several rounds too early in the draft for guys who end up getting cut.
With your QB injury prone and taking too many hits, an offense leading the league in turnovers, McCoy on the roster with insane YPC, a sucky O line, a defense you admitted later was an experiment with on the job training for Juan, a defense that was breaking down and letting teams come back.........keep firing pass plays instead of run the ball.
Before hiring a Defensive Coordinator, hiring the D line coach Washburn who most people don't want to work with, and adopting the wide 9. Not realizing the wide 9 requires better LBs and Safeties to handle the run and cover TEs and leaving a hole up the middle of the field.
Making Casey Matthews a day 1 starter at MLB with no competition.
Replacing Trotter with Levon Kirkland.
Replacing Brian Dawkins with Quentin Demps.
Having a policy of not throwing players under the bus and always take responsibility.......until he threw Akers under the bus and then fired Juan and made him the scapegoat.
Any penalty for delay of game, illegal formation, false start or illegal formation after calling a timeout to prepare.
Not figuring out how to do a better job after all these years.

You got it on your first one and beat me to it. How can not going hurry up offense to win the game in the biggest game in any sport in the world not be the most frustrating thing Andy every has done. I remember yelling at the tv, hurry the f---- up!!!
