Here is a interesting senario, next season, whatever team hire's Andy Reid, it will be very interesting to see him go up against his former team the Eagles. The Eagles will have an advantage because they know that majority of his game plan will be all passing plays.

Just plan for 45 pass plays and 15 runs.

Do teams have an advantage against the Packers because they know that the majority of the game plan will be passing plays?

We always seemed to be involved in these media spectacle games. Can see this one coming a mile away.

What makes everyone assume a coach of Reid's tenure plus all his family issues will want to dive right back into coaching again?  Most coaches take at least a year off if not more.

Former head coaches talk about the stress to their health and family lives and wanting time off.

Think about it.  If he got hired at a new team, he'd need to immediately dive into evaluating the scouts, coaches and players to decide who to keep.  There's the free agency period and draft to prepare for.

It's fine for a regular coach who is not going to be in the front office, these guys who get fired after 2-4 years and get a new job.  But someone at Reid's level, he would not just be a coach.  He is the VP of Football Operations for the Eagles.  I don't know why people don't understand this:  he is above everyone else except Lurie.  He is in charge of everything.  He's not going to take just a coaching job at his tenure, and answer to some other execs.

That's a lot on top of coaching.  You don't dive right into that kind of thing.

Reid will hopefully do the right thing and submit his resignation that is mutually agreed upon.  Take a couple years off, reflect on his mistakes and if he wants to coach again go into it after taking time to heal himself, renew his strategy and motivation, etc.

Andy Reid isn't wired like most people. He lost his son, left to grieve for a cup of coffee and came right back to camp. Plus you have to imagine that he'll have job offers up the arse but I can also see him taking time off. Just giving another perspective.

I agree that's what he should do...take a year...and then come back

I can see him not doing that though.  Other long term coaches that have taken time off before returning had a Lombardi to keep them company.  Except for Marty Shottenheimer...

Or.... He takes a year off, Eagles get their new coach and he is a complete nightmare. So they call Reid to comeback to the Eagles for another 14 years

I know a lot of people had a problem with that and asked how he could come right back after all that happened. Even at the time I said different people handle grief in different ways. For some people doing what they normally would do helps them get over it and keeps them from just dwelling on it. Then I heard that the grieving period is only for a few days in the Mormon faith.

But anyway, I think Reid feels as though he has to be coaching. I'm sure teams like San Diego possibly Buffalo, possibly the Browns (who knows Banner & Reid back together?), and I'm gonna throw Jacksonville in there could be the ones to go after Reid. I think the most likely scenario is San Diego especially with the report that came out last winter about how they wanted Reid and would've fired Norv for him. I think they'll give him full control or close to it.

All the Eagles really need is a QB and they'll be right back in the mix.  Whatever team AR takes over next will probably need a few years.

Seriously?  Have you seen our offensive line?   What about the defense?  There are maybe 3 guys on that side of the ball worth keeping. The roster is a train wreck. There are maybe 20 guys worth keeping.  Special teams are abysmal.  This team is 3 years from serious contention - and that's only if Foles is a worthy QB.
