Cancer is harsh. Like I said its hard to judge Roseman but in the end the team has been bad under him. If you're starting over than start fresh completely.

Finding and hiring a REAL GM that will in the future, looking back at his time in Philadelphia, be considered by the entire NFL, as the very best of his era by far.........is job #1 for Jeffrey Lurie....everything else that happens comes from that one most important hire....everything. If Jeffrey Lurie compromises in any way regarding that task (such as Roseman being THAT guy), then failure will be the result.
All the rest of the conversations that take place, are just killing time until Jeffrey either does this right....or doesn't. I hope he does this right.

A little dramatic, but absolutely correct.

Granted......but the sentiment is simply to set the bar at perfection, because by pursuing that, they may capture excellence in the process. I just think there's been a culture of compromise with the Eagles that is unacceptable, and the bar has to be raised as high as it can go in every area starting with the traditional GM position, which IMO, is the most important one.

Agreed. When Lurie first took over that was his model. But it seemed Modrak got squeezed between the egos of Reid and Banner. With them gone it can work.

We are actually at the point where the team can't get much worse but the point is to make moves to make it much better :)

Howie is a valuable asset to the organization when it comes to contracts. The team will be at a loss if he is fired. Take him away from the personnel decision making side of the office, and your problem is solved.

What if the Eagles get Chip Kelly and Matt Barkley? Maybe things can turn around faster than you think.
Carson Palmer
Matt Sanchez
Matt Leinart
Carson was decent at 1 point in his career, but I still think Id pass on Barkley. Them like Oregon (Kelly) are in a weak conference.
Just my .02 though
