I wonder if his teammates feel the same. Our offense is made for a big man who can see the open receivers beyond the line. I am amazed at Luck's success when you look at his line. I wonder how long it will take before the line is an afterthought. A win on Sunday will do us all good and maybe start a new Eagles legendary story.

Long time season ticket holder and hoping this young man could breath life to our talented but underachieving team!

I just hope he has the balls to audible out of the pass plays called when the Skins show nickel every play. He didn't last week....if he's allowed that is

Hard to do that when Marty puts you in a empty backfield situation all the time.  Ugghh.  Can you imagine if we got P. Manning here?  He would grab McCoy drag him out there, punch Andy in the junk, and flip Marty the bird in the booth before calling all his own plays.

Would have been nice but he didnt want to play in a pressure packed market and he didnt want to play his brother twice a year.

Quote that pretty much sums up the racial bias of the Philadelphia fanbase.

"Foles is exciting to watch, even when he's going 3 and out." - posted in last Sunday's game day thread.

haha.....racial bias.....i'd say you're the one with a racial bias naming yourself "PickFoles" and having an avatar like that of a player in the first action of his career.  He plays three quarters and you already hate him....you're a f'n joke bro

i couldn't agree with you more but you are going to get slammed for this post. Most of our "fanbase" are actually rooting for us to finish 3-13 so we will fire reid without question and get a high draft pick. They don't see what we saw last week. I saw sleeping giants awake. I saw a defense line flip on a light switch and romo running for his life. I saw receivers being thrown to quickly and defenses being forced to react to their speed. I saw delay draws to shady and 9 yard runs. i saw a team play like a team and look dominant for a moment in time. Yes it all came crumbling down in a series of four plays basically (dunlap penalty, romo escaping the sack, the punt return, the pic six) but there was a magic in the linc for the first time really all season. shady said i best after the game. We just have to get that first one and i think everything will start to take care of itself. There couldn't be any more truth than that. Beat the skins and the new season begins.

FU a-hole.   Lots of people want a change to a pocket passer for once.   You know,  the kind that win Superbowls.  I wouldn't care if SHE were purple with tenticles.  Just go with a winning formula for once.

BTW,  I think tons of folks would fall all over themselves to get Josh Freeman here.  But keep up your racist BS you pathetic excuse for a human being.

This thread was not about race but an honest feeling of hope. i have nothing against Vick; I sensed something change in that game. I understand some have written off this season but we are two games from first in the NFC East; two games. As bad as things have been a turnaround can happen. I have never understood how teams have not been punished for these stupid blitzes that leave our receivers open unless the QB cannot see them or anticipate their location. If this is true the cure for our line is in Foles' hands and reads. Teams don't do this to Mannings, Brady, Rodgers or if they try they sooner or later pay for it. Vick couldn't beat this "kill the QB" defense started by the Giants last year and copied by others since against us. As a result we have not been able to see the Eagles offense.

I believe this young man will show us what's in the playbook. We have too much talent to be this pathetic.

LOL, yep a lot of people just want a white QB. It's obvious. Anything Foles does has a positive spin on it. People are saying Foles played great when he should have had three picks. Two of which would've been returned for TDs. And I love how everyone just gives him a pass for throwing the ball 30 feet up in their air in the middle of the field.

This time next year people will be ready to run Foles out of town. I can already see all the Napoleon Dynamite comparisons.

He had rookie mistakes...You expect those from a rookie. Not a 10 year vet.

Keep giving the kid passes because he's a rookie. How many levels of football do you need to progress through to realize that throwing the ball up for grabs isn't the best idea. Foles is a rookie, but he's shown me nothing to make me believe he'll amount to anything.

Oh ok, when Vick should have had picks in games it's "It was the receivers fault" or "Well he didn't now did he?" but when Foles should have had picks all of a sudden it's "He sucks because he should have had 3 picks"

Josh Freeman=McNabb. But he's more inconsistent from game to game, maybe that's because of the coaches (wouldn't doubt it). I wouldn't mind having him at QB if Foles weren't here

So has Vick. The difference is Foles is a rookie. He has potential. Vick is on the downside of his career.

He's played all of 2 and a half quarters of real NFL football. Jesus Christ you Vick nut huggers need to get a Fing grip. What were your excuses for Vick when he blindly turned and chucked the ball downfield every game? "He's trying to make a play". STFU

You also saw a team playing THE DALLAS COWBOYS - who are not world beaters, have almost as bad an offensive line as we do. Their defense is good though. But come on it's not like that was the SF 49ers. It was the bum arse COWBOYS - who ended up pasting us.

How do we know that Foles has potential, because he played well in the preseason, or because he's 6'6" ?

You Foles lovers need to get a grip ! He had a couple good quarters during the preseason. I hope the kid pans out, but what people seen in him is a mystery to me at this point.

How bout because he's 23 and is nowhere near his physical peak. I'm sure on Sunday he will also show that he is much better at reading defenses as well.

How about Foles has potential because he's an unknown rookie?

People are just glad to see rookie mistakes coming from a rookie, not a 10 year vet. And if you didn't see any good things from Foles, then you were too busy looking for negatives because he did a ton of things right.

They have potential. Their ceilings might not be high, but they have potential. How is that so hard for people to comprehend? We haven't seen 3 full quarters of football from the kid and you're all so quick to call him a failure. Yet Vick sucks for 10 years and you defend him like he's having one off year.
