Nick Foles gives it his best shot. Andy Reid does his best to take LeSean McCoy out of the game right after he rips off a 25-yard run. Did you know McCoy had four carries on the Philadelphia Eagles' opening touchdown drive versus Dallas? Reid gave him 12 the rest of the game. You know Reid's eyes are getting huge at the prospect of facing a Washington Redskins secondary that hemorrhages yards and has rubber-stamped 20 touchdowns (tied for most in the league). Hopefully Reid will tap the brakes, realize he's got a third-round draft pick out there under center, and put the ball in McCoy's belly. #Run25 #PHIvsWAS

This was Elliot Harrison. Also predicted we'd lose 27-21 because we won't run.

Kinda embarrassing when 99% of Eagles fans know we pass too much, I'm sure every team we play against also realises this and Harrison even sarcastically hash tags run25. How can everyone except Reid not realise this? Mccoys carries against Dallas were pathetic after the first possession, especially with a rookie QB!

Reid's eyes shouldn't be getting huge facing any defense.  He already went up against the worst defense in the NFL in the Saints and was pathetic. The Redskins know Reid and Marty, and Shanahan isn't stupid. Redskins are going to come with CB blitzes and blitzes off the edge because our tackles can't block. Reid will "COUNTER" this by using 7-step drops, play action, and strech runs.

please corner blitz foles with their already depleated secondary. in case you missed it foles went 4 for 5 against the blitz last week. teams corner blitzed vick to death because he never saw it coming and couldn't make adjustments. If shanahan is so smart and reid and marty are so dumb then shanny wouldn't have given up 59 points on monday night football followed by two more lossess last year.

For a team this good to perform this poorly and be this poorly coached has got to be the result of someone's intention. I find it hard to believe it could be the result of neglect unless it's 'willful neglect'. Reid is depressed and taking the team with him on his his trip to self-destruction. Sorry about his son but we've got to get him out of town asap. He is a cancer right now.  Lurie has got to wake up and realize this.

Funny how no  one mentions how other teams dont run the ball very much either. Falcons first game with a run was against us. Up until then they were known as not caring about running the ball. The entire NFC is known as a pass heavy conference.  Yet all anyone seem to criticizes for the lack of a run game are the Eagles.  Keep drinking the media koolaide. SMH ;)

Its b/c he wont change his stubborn ways even with a potential firing at the end of the season faceing him. He knows things need to change, BUT he is going down with the ship and looks like he wants to bring everyone down with him instead of trying to fix/save someone/something before hes gone.

Reid and Morngweg are incapable of designing or game planning running plays. This has been a fact with Reid since the first day he got here.

He's wasted Staley, Westbrook and now McCoy.

3 of the best backs the Eagles have ever had and he barely used any of them to run the ball. Hell, he pretty much turned Westbrook into a slot receiver.

I think he has a sore spot with McCoy because Shady doesn't have good catching hands like Westbrook did.

Whats Washingtons run defense like?  Knowing Marty and Andy this is the game they'll run the ball.  They figure Washington will be looking for the pass so we better run the ball to throw them off.

It doesnt matter how bad Washingtons defense is, it doesnt matter who our QB is, our playcalling will prevent the offense from getting in when inside the red zone.  You dont get to the 5 yard line and pass 3 times as much as AR and MM do.  Gosh the Saints awful defense shut us down.

AR and MM will feature flying elephants and talking pigs in a grand carnival that ends in catastrophic failure. It is both sad and hilarious.

Too logical. I predict it will be more like......"Because their secondary is weak, we'll be tempted to pass, but we know they know this so we'll run the ball, but they'll realize we're trying to double cross them and they'll play the run, so we'll double-double cross them and pass" - Andy Reid

When your quarterback and/or offense is struggling with the passing game/protection, you keep passing, right Marty? How about starting a rookie quarterback? What do you do to help him, pass more? Right Marty?

What took the analysts so long? Well, analysts don't watch every game played on weekends. I think a perfect example of that would be when Chris Collinsworth saw Asante look foolish missing a tackle and stated that he was surprised and then followed up stating that Asante usually makes those tackles. This occurred many many years ago when Asantes's lack of tackiling ability ticked off all off us.

They don't watch every game. Opinions are offerred from stats and stats alone. What's Reids win/loss ratio? He must be good. Well, nothing could be further from the truth.

Along comes the Eagles vs Cowboys game. The game where an Eagles running back can perform a better dissapearing act than a long snapper.

I was not listening to the broadcast. I can only wish that they pointed out obvious flaws.

At this point I suspect that 20% of mainstream journalists are willing to put that win'/loss record in the dumper and talk cold turkey.

The good news is that there are more nationally televised games to come with perhaps writers/analysts that don't dwell in past stats.

I want what is best for the Eagles.

Andy and Marty love being football drama Queens. Running the ball just doesn't excite them. Never has - never will. These analysts just now figured this out?!!  Reid will die with his "philosophies". He can take Marty with him and all his high motor midget football players too!

Agreed.  There is no way someone who's been around football as long as Andy has is simply too dumb to recognize that the same predictable plan isn't working and will never again work.

Exactly, every team knows Reid is a pass-a-holic so they just have their defenses sit back and wait for it. Reid act is old and over done, heshoudl hav ebeen gone 3 years ago. the only differnece today is that all the coaches need to go away.

Honestly, Reid shouldn't be fired. We have an absolute perfect blend of crap throughout this organization. Removal of Reid would put this in danger, and I, for one, need to have as many weekends ruined for me as possible. This team is so embarrassingly bad that it infuriates me to watch, and I need that in my life. I need that to feel complete.

It is not like they have good or even average run blocking... Half of the good runs are a called back, does not show in the stats at all.  Bryce Brown got carries.. The problems with this team are much more than running the ball enough.
