Rookie Dennis Kelly did not hold back when asked about Vick's blitz recognition, specifically the blitz in Arizona that caused Vick to fumble the ball.

"Peyton Manning would have seen that coming," said Kelly. "There are just times when he doesn't see things. He never really had to worry about reading defenses before."

I guess when the team has to chose between you and Bell, you can pretty much say what you want without fear of getting cut.

truth is truth whether or not its the right place to say it. It's not a coincidence that the team started playing with fire the second vick was out of the game. They don't respect him anymore. What good is a team meeting followed up by that crappy showing vs the saints? The players wanted change ...now the fun part is seeing how they react to it.

It's almost like what some of us have been saying all along. Crazy, huh?

I'm sure it's just more people out to get Vick though.

yeah,  obviously Kelly knows nothing about football.  At least that is what the Vick lickers were saying to those who criticize Vick around here.  Well, that and also any criticism of Vick is racism.

Once again, Reid has lost control.  This is yet another sign that he's going to be gone after this season.  I'm pretty excited about that.

While he definitely should have kept his mouth shut, he's right, and if a rookie can tell that, you know it's bad.

i think it proves vick lost the team more than reid lost control. when a rookie speaks out against the supposed leader there are many disbelievers in that locker room that have been publicly biting their tounges. Reid teams have always spoken to the media as opposed to say bellicheck run teams who never say anything. At the end of the day talk is talk. It's not often lineman are put in front of a microphone with a chance to speak. Vick has been hollaring hoopla to the media all season about dynasties, letting vick be vick, etc. On the field where it matters he has not backed up a single word of it. Players such as mccoy are still fighting for reid (refering to him as a great coach). We will see what happens sunday but it seems to me foles has already won over the offensive line and the receivers won't be far behind as we see an increase in their production. Winning cures all. This defensive line was called the best in the line before the season began. They will recapture that magic and it all starts sunday !!

Bobby, you know this team is not winning a Super Bowl ESPECIALLY with Reid coaching them, right?

very clever. however what's dumb about it? The team did lose patience with vick. Isn't it obvious?

who said anything about winning a superbowl? I believe we can beat the redskins and the panthers and from there anything is possible. Do i really think we would beat a team like chicago in the playoffs? No,but i'm sure glad i didn't bet on the saints and 49ers last year ...eeek.

17 posts and no one is killing Kelly.

Yet a few weeks ago, DeSean says positive things about Vick and he gets crucified on these boards instantly.

Is DJax hated that much? Kelly that loved, already? Is it strictly about the positive vs negative things said about Vick?

"Peyton Manning would have seen that coming," said Kelly.

"There are just times when he doesn't see things.

He never really had to worry about reading defenses before."

If you separate the 3 sentences, then factor in the questions that may have been asked, it's not as bad as some of you are proclaiming.

Kelly didn't mean it the way those Haters are raving about.  No rookie would ever speak that way about a starting QB.

andy apparently stuck with vick so long because he didn't want to destroy the locker room. good job fat man you did the exact opposite by sticking with vick for so long.

I like it. It is what it is says Charles..

Now some may suggest the rookie was out of line by saying what should have been said by a veteran linemen. He was a little..

When the kids start to disrespect you, you have some real issues..

He didn't say anything that everyone on the team and in the league doesn't already know.  He was 100% correct.  Vick just doesn't see things.  He cannot read or interpret a defense, no less manipulate one.  His largest weaknesses are not his height and his shaky accuracy, it is that he doesn't have it mentally.  QB is the hardest position, and missing just one thing can be the difference between good enough and not.

thank you...never TRUST the media....I can't imagine that Kelly (or anybody) would openly lambast Vick or any other teammate. You nailed it, the press is in the business of generating controversy because it sells. All we are getting here is soundbytes, and they can be edited to convey any message you want. The true test would be to hear the entire interview unedited, I'm sure it was harmless. (there is a reason Watkins won't talk to the media)

Years ago the press printed something Jerry Rice said regarding Deion Sanders which came across as controversial and arrogant...JERRY RICE, the epitome of class...being accused of trashing another player and former teammate. When SF and Dallas played later that year, they showed Rice speaking to Primetime and explaining what happened, and Jerry said later that he explained to Primetime how his words were twisted and what he said was taken completely out of context.

This coming from a clown who couldn't figure out the most basic of functions as a guard? Block inside out! Ughh, I wonder if Kelly ever watches his own tape?

I don't like it when vets say stuff, but this guy won't be in the league next year.

The very last thing this Oline should be doing is commenting on anyone's play.

"I don't think I'm an expert," admits Vick. "Sometimes I'm not the best at presnap reads; probably 75 to 80 percent of the time I'm dead on." - Mike Vick

same article: maybe those words were taken out of context and his words were twisted as well.

Ok guys here comes the we are all racist because we talked ill about Vick , even though most of us already knew this about him before he even came to Philly .  The smart ones saw through his couple games pretty fast and saw a spark that was to just get paid  and then sit back on the money. I cant believe it took 10 years for people to start calling him out on his faults.

Reynolds is just trying to point the finger at Mike when he really should be pointing the finger at himself. Kelce was handling the pre snap duties, and when he went down Dallas Reynolds came in and the set up stayed the same. Reynolds, an inexperienced sub-par lineman, was handling the pre-snap duties and not Vick. That's on Reid for not giving Vick the pre-snap duties as soon as Kelce went down. That also means the breakdowns in protections, the free rushers, weren't on Vick. Vick didn't have pre-snap duties until the Saints game which Kelce also stated that those breakdowns were on the offensive line and not Vick.

"the offensive line did not exactly have a banner night with Vick at the controls Monday. It was their worst performance of the year, in fact, as Vick was sacked seven times and endured 12 QB hits. According to Kelce, the breakdowns do not fall on the quarterback.

I guess Kelce is just talking out of his arse, right ?

Vick has also made teams pay when blitzing him.

"In the three games prior to the bye, he was 29-for-42 for 405 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions against extra pressure. That’s a 69 percent completion percentage and 9.6 yards-per-attempt."
