I wanted Vick benched because our team wasn't going anywhere with him. That doesn't mean that Foles, Edwards or whoever we draft next year will be better than Vick.  It just means that Vick is a dead end and we need to see if someone else can take us down the right path.

Foles could be 100x worse. But where were we going with Vick? To the playoffs? To a winning record? No? Then why bother.

But wouldn't it stand to reason that if someone was "most of the problem", that getting rid of them would result in the team improving instead of regressing? For the record, I'm not saying I think Foles will be a failure. I very much have liked what I've seen from him and think he could have a future with this team. My only point was pinning most of the blame on a single person is ridiculous. This team is an absolute disaster from top to bottom and the game today only reinforced that fact. If Vick truly was the single biggest problem on the team, then what happened today against Washington?

You say we're not going to the playoffs or achieving a winning record with Vick, but that's just stating the obvious because you could have peyton manning back there and we'd still be losing games. I think the more accurate statement would be that we're not going to the playoffs with this team, regardless of who lines up behind center.
