According to most ppl nick foles would read defense and get the ball out so fast and make the oline look top 5 in the league.

Lmao.
I actually read a post a while ago that said "Nick Foles gets rid of the ball really quick after taking a 7 step drop."

he is going to make the oline look better
he will stop our turnover problems
and people forget how mobile he is...
i would be shocked if foles isnt the next tom brady....i mean they were both late round picks and both have 2 arms & 2 legs (see the similarities)

It's wonderful and all you want to be the first to chop the head off Nick Foles, but the truth is he's a rookie in his first start. Scale back your expectations a bit, stop being so desperate.

The theory behind starting Foles was that yes, he gets the ball out quickly, makes pre snap reads, the o-line would do a btter job blocking, because Foles doesn't hold onto the ball long, and he played behind an o-line just as terrible at Arizona. Having said that, this isn't going to happen 1.) having been thrown into a game because the starter got hurt and 2.) because he's not had much time to work with the 1st team, this is why he should finish out the season. Everyone here can agree on one thing, we want a Lombardi Trophy, however, we need to be a little more patient, especially with guys who have only had one career start.

The problem is Marty's and Andy's offense. Always was always will be. Vick got the ball out very quickly this year. Problem is, if you read the defense right what difference does it make? Yeah there is a blitz coming, my guys should be able to buy me 2.5 seconds, then the 2 free rushers come straight up the middle giving you zero time.
They fired Mike Martz and his big play vertical offense in Chicago because it was getting Cutler killed. At least they were smart in Chicago.

Which is very likely to happen given how bad this oline is.
If they can reduce his passes to around 15-20 per game and run the crap out of the running backs than I'm all for it. Does any of you think Reid and Marty are capable of calling a game like that?

Vick, while still a terrible QB, shouldn't have a single ounce of blame placed on him for this season. The problems of this team go so far beyond the QB position it's scary.

I don't know. Herremans is far far better than Kelly but he was struggling too. Watkins on the other hand...complete garbage. He was the one allowing free rushers every 3rd snap. Getting bull rushed, speed rushed, wiffing. He's a disaster.

I agree with this. I think these days the D lineman are just so fast that the quicker more agile o lineman are no longer an advantage now that they give away size as strength. For 2 years we've seen Shady have to make moves in the backfield because guys are getting beat at the point of attack consistently.

I just want to know how long you want to risk the only upside we have at the position? I would love to see Foles increase his confidence and become a serviceable QB, but its not happening this season. You'd be an idiot to think otherwise.
And there are no Manning, Marino, Montana, Brady, Luck types waiting to be picked up early in the draft next year and I'm happy about that. Build a solid run based offense and learn how to play some real football. Then see how the QB position MAGICALLY improves no matter who is running it.
The QB most of you all love to hate MIGHT be the only vet QB willing to take his chances at a reasonable salary to help this overpriced collection of crap you call a football team. But I wouldnt count on it.

They only gave up 23 sacks last year and Shady had a great year. To me the problem is its too hard to find replacements who know the system. Of course the garbage OL backups Roseman & Reid fielded this year probably would have stunk in any system. In any case I'm sure Mudd will be gone with Reid in 6 weeks
