assuming we pick where we are slated to right now assuming a new regime comes in and starts things over i think this is how things will go..
Eagles trade 2013 2nd round pick (38th overall) and Trent Cole to Tampa Bay for their 2013 1st round pick (21st overall)

1- Luke Joeckel OT Texas A&M- will be the staple OT for years to come, moves Herremans back to the inside, restructure Mathis and Watkins and keep them for depth, definitely get rid of Bell though.
1- Chance Warmack OG Alabama- comes in and replaces Watkins at RG and the Eagles have the right and left side of their line intact for the future and present.
3- Robert Lester S Alabama- keep on going with the SEC trend here, Lester can come in and replace the god awful Coleman finally. moves Allen back to his natural FS position and he can come in and start at SS from day 1, he'll be available at this point since it is a deep draft for safties.
4- Quantereus Smith DE Western Kentucky- brought in as the insurance incase things with Vinny Curry don't work out and for depth along the D Line
5- Baker Steinkuhler DT Nebraska- depth along the defensive line behind Cox and Jenkins could definitely be improved since Landri proved he's nothing more than someone that plays for money.
6- Sam Schwartzstein C Stanford- comes in as the backup for Kelce, since Dallas Reynolds is just god awful
7- Cody Broomsfield CB Miss State- the guy on the other side of Jonathan Banks, always worth taking a flyer on guys like this later in the draft...

offense looks like this with signing of Jason Campbell for insurance of Foles..

QB- Foles, *Campbell, Edwards
RB- McCoy, Brown, Polk
FB- Havilli
WR- Jackson, Maclin, Avant, Cooper, Johnson
TE- Celek, Harbor
LT- Peters, Dunlap
LG- Herremans, Mathis
C- Kelce, Schwarzstein
RG- Warmack, Watkins
RT- Joeckel, Kelly

I totally agree with on the fact of trading whoever except McCoy to get another 1st round pick. If we want to rebuild and not have it be a lengthy process I believe that is the move to make. I could be ok with going after an O-lineman but i think with the second 1st round pcik we pick up a STUD Safety!! We need serious help on defense.

Trent Cole does not have a ton of trade value.

So with Kelce, Peters, and Herremans coming back this means you'd have the Eagles trade back into the 1st round to take OL depth.

The OL will not be like this next year when the starters come back.

What makes you think we can rely on and 1 of those guys next year? yet alone all 3? Watkins is not a starter also, he needs to be replaced.

Watkins did ok when he wasn't the anchor of the OL like he is now. He is a capable starter but not the strength of the OL.

You can't just panic and assume all 3 of those OL are going to be garbage next season because they all got hurt this season. Peters is expected to make a full recovery and be ready for next season. I would imagine the same could be expected of Kelce. These guys play on the OL. Its not the same as trying to come back and play WR.

If they do come back healthy you've just spent two first rounders (one of which will probably be a top 5) on depth on the OL. You don't draft depth at #5. That is when you take franchise playmakers.

Herremans was bad before he got hurt, he is on the decline. Peters could never be the same but we'll see, he is also getting up there in age. A late round Center should be fine to backup Kelce so were good there. I don't really see any franchise playmakers in this draft, I would trade back to pick up another 2nd to get Joeckel, Lewan, or Warmack.

I like the idea of trading back into the 1st, but I just think this team has so many weaknesses that equal the void at OL (considering the OL with the returned starters)

Safety is a huge need and I do think that Te'o is a franchise player.

If Peters returns healthy he makes an enormous difference for that entire OL. Even a healthy Kelce helps.

I'd still make O-line a necessity, we need to build around our best player McCoy and keep our young QB healthy, McCoy is extremely dangerous with a good o-line. I would be happy though if we drafted Teo, he could be that next great LB. This draft has a ton of depth at safety in the 2nd/3rd rounds, king of like LB's for last year.

I don't think everyone is sold so much as Eagles fans don't believe the next franchise QB is in this year's draft.

Exactly. Foles is a guy that can be the next QB for the Eagles, but if so he is going to take time to develop. Definitely take a QB in some later rounds and develop him as competition for Foles, but the next franchise QB is not in this draft.

I say Luke Joeckel is a great first pick, If we can trade back to get him or trade DeSean for a second round I believe that would be the move to make. In the second round we need to pick up a safety. I would like Shawn Williams out of georgia or even Rambo! If we get two second rounds get a safety and a corner like Poyner. In the third round go after Shawn Williams or Rambo which ever we didn't pick up in the second and let them play together. I think that would be pretty stellar safety pick ups. They paly well in college why not let them do it in the pro's!
