not that a few of us have been saying this for years now but all everybody said was it was on vick not reading defenses and blitzes

andys gameplans have been crap for 7 years now

celek have been tipping catchable passes to defenders for atleast 2 years now

our best player (mccoy) is never a part of the gameplan

theres never a plan to beat the blitzes, no just keeping dropping back until something opens up (never does)

the defense has been terrible since jj left

the stubborness and arrogance of reid has been this teams downfall. or maybe hes just incapable of adjusting

MM is your o-coordinator, nuff said there

donovan and vick kept us competitive under these horrid circumstances otherwise this is a 3-13 team

Vick had a good oline last year and an all pro year from Shady and still sucked.

They did,  how come Michael Vick got knocked down even when he did get rid of the ball.  Boy that's a good O-line.  How many times does Tom Brady Get knocked down after he throws the ball. Also the O-line got better towards the end of the season but they were not good as you say all season.

Agreed.  We are seeing all of the same problems that have haunted Reid for his entire HC career.  THe only difference between this team and those is a lack of talent.  This is the worst roster Reid has had in his time here and his poor planning, coaching and leadership stick out like a sore thumb now.

Unfortunately, some fans have known this for a while.  I suppose thats why I'm not completely outraged like so many of the babies in our fanbase are today.  I've seen this coming for a while now.  A lot of people have.

Thats because they arent dumb QBs that can read a D and change the play call, recognize blitz's presnap, etc.  Next?  Vick had the best LT in the fing game last year.  Whats Vick playoff record after a decade in the league?  Exactly.

I agree.  I never expected the Eagles to beat the deadskins on Sunday,  but I still hoped for a miracle.  Again I would be shocked if the Eagles win another game this season.  And I hope Michael Vick does not play anymore.  I want Foles to get his Rookie mistakes out the way, so they can see what direction they need to take as far as QB goes.  Now everyone can see why Andy Reid said Vick gives the Eagles the best chance to win.  Now the wining is over and they need a new team altogether because this one is not wotking, they stink.

His second season starting (last season) they were 8-8 but finished 1 game from first place in the division. I would argue that 1 game from first is competitive.

To me, I dont judge teams on wins or losses.  Its pro sports, there will be other teams that can beat you.  What you judge is how prepared they are, does this system work, if it doesnt do they adjust it.  When you take a deep breath, step back and judge teams based on that, you see a much bigger picture.  Based on that type of evaluation, I would have fired Reid a while ago.

Look Vick nuthugger, attacking me wont make Vick not suck.  He still threw the 99 yard Vick Six against the worst D in the league on Monday Night Football ending our season.  Please join Pick Foles and his dope little brother iluvdaeagles next year on the Buffalo Bills MB because that is where Vick will be backing up Fitzpatrick, that or in Kansas City.

I think maybe he or a member of his family got the herp from Vick and the only way he can cope is to try and come in TATE and drag his name through the dirt. I would've blocked him ages ago. Whats Vicks playoff record after a decade plus in the NFL, we will wait.  Man he is so good.  None of his eye widening, "no it cant be," "wait how many?"  amount of turnovers are his fault, nope none of them.  Not even the 99 yard VICK SIX that ENDED OUR FING SEASON AGAINST THE WORST D IN THE NFL was even his fault.

Agreed. Vick was average last year as was the team. This year he was below average often and sometimes average. For the hype he gets that sucks. And it won't win any SB regardless. He's clearly on the decline.

You must not have frequented this board much sense Foles' pre-season. There was very loud vocal group on here that were screaming that Foles would instantly make this offense better for reason such as:

1. Andy Reid and Marty would call more plays to manage the game better for a rookie (nope)
2. He's 6"+ and can see over the line so he won't need to drop back as far as Vick
3. He can get rid of the ball quicker than Mike Vick
4. He's smarter than Mike Vick (how you base that conclusion off pre-season beats me)
5. The line will be able to protect him better because he can move in the pocket/has better pocket presence than Mike Vick
6. He's more accurate than Mike Vick
7. He appeard (again in the pre-season) to be less turnover prone than Mike Vick
8. He's a rookie so he can only get better which can't be any worse than Mike Vick

Every other topic over the past 10 weeks there have been post saying all if not some of the same of those post.

It was all doom and gloom. You weren't hearing about the offensive line, stupid play calls, special teams, lack of heart, killer instinct. etc.

The majority of fans were salivating over Nick Foles (who could still turn out to be a servicable qb).

Now us fans that had some objectiveness to our arguements based on precedent are just seeing what it is NOW.

Look no one expected Foles to come out and light it up. Sure many wish he did. But he is a rookie. But his performance against the 30th ranked defense in the NFL was abymissal heck that's giving him too much credit. He looked like a joke out there.  A lot of it was not his fault. I mean the o lineis terrible. But to have Maclin and Jackson combine for 2 total catches for 5 yards in 4 quarters of football?

C'mon dude. Let's be serious. That's downright horrible.

For me, the year was doomed when Peters went down and JC was still our DC. I didn't think Vick was going to start out as bad as he dead, but he helped speed up the decline. The shocker for me, however, is how bad our ST play has been. So to me, the biggest problem goes back to coaching, from Mudd and his happy band of Lilliputians, to Washburns so wide I can get 9 yards on every carry, to Bobby April's very special teams, all orchestrated by the wonderful JC and MM under the ever watchful eye of the Fat Man.

We can't change everything, but thank God we can at least get a new coaching staff.

THe only team Vick has made competetive the last 2 years in the opposing one.

The defense also kept us competitive for the majority of those years. Anyone who knows me remembers that I was and still am a huge supporter of McNabb, but giving him most of credit for the team's accomplishments from 99-09 is unfair to Jim Johnson and what did with his defenses.

It is shocking that the team has gone from a solid start to being the worst team in the league in six games.  No choice now but to start over.
