The Eagles had time to correct some of the issues with O-Line before the season.

They had time to assess Bell

They could have kept Winston Justice

They could have made a trade after linemen went down, we could have traded a draft pick.   We have four RB'S on the roster and two of them are deactivated ever game.    The great Dion Lewis that everyone talks so highly about is taking a back seat to Bryce Brown.

We knew we had trouble in the redzone last season and what did we do to correct that issue- NOTHING, that is what we did!    Apparently they felt that this issue would go away by itself when most of us could see that it wouldnt.   We NEEDED a big go up and get it WR and we didnt get one.

It was Reid who hired Castillo, Mudd, and Washburn, and April.   It was Reid who has the say with drafting and player personal.

I just hope Lurie can see through the injuries and not use that as justification to keep Andy Reid and this coaching staff.

So basically what you are saying is 3 things.

1 - that even though Bell had proven for almost 3 years that he was more then a capable starter in the NFL, the Eagles were dumb for ASSUMING that he would finally figure out the Mudd technique ?? Really ?? Seriously ??
2 - that you for some reason believe that there are endless quality starting OL just hanging around on practice squads ?? Again, really ??? Seriously ??
3 - that you were that ONE fan that thought W.Justice should stay and was a good NFL starting OL ?? And again,,, Really ??? Seriously ??

As long as Andy Reid is the Eagles HC this is what you are going to get. Because in his mind he thinks they are "TRUELY FINE THERE".   He see these players every day and he knows they suck and can't play worth a damn but he let things stay the same anyway.  For example he had known the Eagles didn't have a punt returner that year and he did nothing but Let Greg Lewis F that up.  He knew the O-line was shakey and what does he do., pay Michael Vick all of that money anyway instead of suring that line up.  He then awards a person with an important job as the DC with absoutely no experience at all.   This is why this team stinks like it does.  It's Andy Reid plain and simple.  I don't think no other coach (even the bad ones) would have done some of the stupid things that Andy Reid has done.  I am no where hear a coach in the NFL,  and even I wouldn't have attempted some of the stupid ish he has. :nonono:

Possibly your reading skills lack ???

EDIT - my response was not intended for you Vic92353. I have no idea why your post was included except that I'm an internet dummy.

I'm sorry, but as much as I want Reid gone:  When your offensive line is ravaged by injuries (only out LT was hurt in the offseason, and by all accounts they went out and got the best LT available, but it obviously didn't work out for whatever reason) throughout the season, you're not going to be a successful "throwing" team, which is what the Eagles want to be.  Vick was killed last year until the line started to gel late in the season, and the same thing is happening this year.   Vick was (obviously) gunshy after being pummeled on nearly every passing play, and Nick Foles may be ruined (Bobby Hoying anyone?) by this offensive line.  You can blame AR for not protecting his quarterbacks a little better by running the ball and relying on a more true form of the "West Coast" offense that they claim to run......but to blame him for the offensive line being so terrible?  You just can't do that.  You've got 4 backup offensive lineman in there, what do you expect?

This guy is right, like Reid or not (and I surely don't) -- this offensive line is not his fault.  The playcalling however.........

I'm sure you are probably right.
But I guess I'm just so tired of all the internet tough guy crap. And I'm not even talking about it towards me. Hell, I hardly get any. But it seems as though the typical response is to call people names like your a 15 year old punk or something.
You can easily disagree with people without putting on some hard arse act.
It just seems to be getting worse by the year.

Justice was passable here, nothing more. No one was upset to see him leave.

Bell was decent in buffalo. I dont think anyone predicted he'd play like the worst T in football.

You need two parties to do a trade.. this aint madden.

Hiring Castillo, mudd, washburn and april were all stupid though.

Well i guess that since Bell was so good that it even proves more of why the Eagles FO is so bad. They took a more then capable starter and turned him into ish....   Further proves my point. I can say with much certainty that YES most other teams practice squads O-Lines are  better than ours. Winston Justice was better then we thought apparently once again it WAS our FO who couldnt utilize his skills or coach him the way he needed to be coached.

jeff lurie is just as infatuated with reid as reid is with the passing game

its really become a sick situation with the both of them. any other team and reid would have been gone 6 years ago

you have coaches that have won superbowls and long been fired but reid is still here

Reid has always been overrated. I've been saying for years this team was going to hit rock bottom if they didn't cut him out and even as the team got progressively worse every year people couldn't see it until now.

Justice sucked here. He left and is now a solid starter.

Bell was a solid starter and came here and now sucks.   Hmmm. Maybe its not the players so much but the scheme/coaching.

Justice and Bell were/are under different coaches. Justice was under Castillo, Bell is under Mudd.
